Default The Last Thursday in March - the 27th

I guess there are no earlybirds this morning. We have a few outside here stoking up at the feeder. I hear that robins are back but I don't think they are finding any worms or bugs unless they can dig through about 10" of snow and ice. It's supposed to warm up to above freezing today which will help the melt.

I have some dribs and drabs of desk stuff to do today before I plunge into the Mill's 2013 Tax Forms. Sometimes I feel like just sending them all the stuff and letting them figure it out. Corporate Tax forms are even worse than the individual ones but it feels so good when you get them done. My friend Barb is coming over this afternoon to do a small change on her form and then that'll be done. Mine is done but I owe so it's not going in until the deadline!

A few minutes ago I realized Jazz wasn't around and went to the back door to call him in. No dog. I really thought he'd escaped. I shouted "Come for cheese" and heard a thump from inside the house. He had "escaped" to my bed upstairs! At least I didn't alert the neighbours and post it on FB!

Now to crank up the day. I hope your day is a good one as we tiptoe through the snowbanks into Spring.

Jazz!! You stinker!

Are you being hopeful Ruth, posting it's the last day in March? Do you think we'll see any green in April? I feel kinda bad for people in places like Hawaii, they probably don't appreciate spring nearly as much as we do, right?!

Long day today, and I woke up again at 4:30 darned it. Have my healthy foods packed. Between horror-mones, stress/not sleeping, and no grains - I've lost 6 lbs. I know it'll jump right back on board if I even look at a slice of bread, but I'll take it .

TOMORROW'S FRIDAY!!!

Good morning,

Ruth that's funny about Jazz but our Geo (cat) escaped and went under the deck this morning so DD2 and I were out there trying to coach him out to get him inside before we both had to leave. What worked was leaving food and then us going back in and then we went out and scooped him. He is so tempted by the outdoors and is always wanting to go out.

Went to specialist for DD2 they are going to have to set her nose depending on getting approval from insurance she will have it done Friday before we leave or the Monday after we return from Florida. I am hoping they can get everything done and just get it done tomorrow but we shall see.

Tywnn hope your day goes by quickly, mine is full of meetings and then everyone is expecting reports from me (not sure when I will fit that in)

Have a great day everyone!

I am officially done with this weather. Does anyone remember General Hospital many years ago, when there were snowstorms in August? I feel like that!!! Plus I'm coming down with a cold - why do I crave carbs so much when I am sick? And why do I feel that no matter how much I eat I am never full when I'm sick? Maybe the whole "feed a cold" thing is true.

I have meetings literally all day today, although one of them is acupuncture, which might help my cold (hopefully). Plus I'm pmsing. Could it get any worse? Hope everyone else has a great day.

Good morning from the beach we woke up at 7 to watch the sunrise then fell back asleep. We are taking the vacation thing very seriously. Obviously we needed a break. Even the dog hasn't been out yet. Eventually we will go looking for Dogtown and do some walking.

Ruth - amazing how clever the fur babies are. Robins love old berries and crab apples. That's where we usually see them this time of year.

Tammy - hope the day breezes by.

Rose - good luck with the nose. How is she feeling?

Mmckellen - I am the same way when I am sick or really tired. It's frustrating. Hope acupuncture helps.

We'll the dog is snoring again so apparently her bladder is bigger than ours! Time for another cup of coffee.

Morning, busy day here & I sure could use more I volunteered to help a friend from church along with some others pack up his house to move. This is the weekend and there is a lot to do since he has been ill as well and is a single dad. I can't help the rest of the weekend but I can today Then tonight is our community meal we have once a month at the church so I will meet up with Karen & Frank there. In the meantime, I think I may put on a crock of red lentil & garbanzo stew that will be good lunch for tomorrow & weekend leftovers.

Ruth...Sounds to me like Jazz is sick of winter mornings too

Twynn...Yeah on the weight loss!!

Rose...Hope DD gets her nose set without a hitch and in just in the right timing for you & her.

Mmckellen...I hear ya about craving carbs when sick. And I esp do when I pms.

Cyndi...Enjoy your beach vacation.

To everyone else enjoy your day!

Good morning!

I've been MIA for a few days. Worked Tuesday then drove down to Denver to pick up DD and baby. We drove over to the western slope and immediately came up with a project. We are turning dads office into a bedroom for the kids. The project includes moving a large rolltop desk that he had built pulling the carpet painting and getting ourselves a new bed. Our futon that we sleep on will go in the new bedroom. That's alright because it's snowing here right now. We did get to the pool yesterday but it was mega packed due to spring break and the wind picked up and it got pretty cold, too.
T
Saying hi from my iPhone which is sometimes a challenge. Take care everyone!

pearlrose, I hope your daughters procedure is a success and doesn't cause much more agony.

Hey chicks, finally have a chance to check in. It seems work has been crazy busy the last couple days. Sometime I need to learn to say "no"!

Pearl, hope DD's nose job goes well. DS1 broke his a few years back and it looks better now than before!

Ruth, how's the mouth feeling? I saw some mourning doves but not robins yet.

Mmckellen, I completely agree! Enough of this winter stuff!!!

Cyndi, I'm a little jealous. Sounds like a great vacation weekend.

Need to go empty the dryer before I start to nod off on the couch. Have a good evening, all!
