New to SBD

  • Hi everyone,
    Just started the SBD today. I have a real problem with flour and sugar so I'm hoping to break the habit with this program. Here's a little bit about myself: I'm 44 with about 60 pounds to lose. I've tried just about every diet on the market. I lost 35 pounds on WW in 1997 until they changed it to those awful points. Just can't seem to eat right knowing that I have so many points. That's just me I've seen it work for a lot of people. I'm really fed up with programs so I'm going to give this one 100% and hopefully it will work for me. Glad to have found this board. Thanks for listening.

What a nice feeling to know that when things get tough, and sometimes they do, that there is always someone here to "listen". We all uderstand what the others are going through and the support is so very important. It's here day or night--the lamp is always lit! Use it. Best of luck as you start the program.

  • New to the Beach--but liking it so far
    hello everyone!

    I am not new to 3fc or to these forums, but I am new to South Beach. I am currently in phase one and day 2, and it seems to be going well. Although i weigh in on Thursdays, and then I will know for sure if this works for me.

    i too have been doing WW and feel really burdened by all the dang counting! Math has never been one of my strong points. Anyway, I lost 20 pounds and then came to a standstill. So after my vacation, I bought the book and began the diet.

    Looking for some good support buddies!
