Good morning!

We're all set here for whatever's headed our way. It's already windy and raining lightly outside, but the big stuff isn't supposed to hit us until around 7pm tomorrow.

Today I'm getting the laundry done, but I usually do that on Sundays, anyway. My DIL is going to roast a huge pork loin to have on hand for sandwiches, and we've been freezing lots of water for ice to keep things in the freezer and refrigerator cold in case we lose power.

I have the news on and already there's a list of school closings up. I wonder if I'll have to work tomorrow?

Good morning. It sure felt good to "sleep in" until seven this morning after hitting bed by nine last night. Eight hours of sleep is unheard of for me - didn't even wake for a pit stop.

Darned Sandy! She is certainly causing a ruckus, isn't she? We are supposed to get hit by mid-week and there is already talk of re-scheduling Halloween. That somehow seems sacrilegious, like rescheduling Christmas. We'll see what happens. In the meantime I'm going to be sure I have gas, money and dog and human food because our power will likely go out.

Only one thing on my schedule today and that's an enjoyable Fair AGM at noon today. It'll be a BBQed chicken catered meal which is always delicious. If there are leftover chickens, I'll buy a couple for my stash. Last year's annual AGM was a real horror show as the Manager had a hissy-fit, quit and stomped out after flinging the f-word at several members. I expect a calm and fun meeting this year.

Still no rain here so there is a slight chance I may get some of my leaves raked this morning. The side walk is covered and they can be pretty slippery when we get the predicted rain. Our local weather says it's raining right now but I think he needs another coffee.

Let's join him and practice feeling calm before the storm.

Good morning! I can't believe I slept til almost 8...I haven't done that in....a long, long time. Probably b/c I couldn't sleep for an hour in the middle of the night, but I'll take it!

Looks like everyone is getting ready for the storm, in reality I should too. We're right where it's predicted to end, in central PA. I'll probably have plenty of canned food avail, and DH would love to keep the fireplace going if it's chilly out. I guess we'll see what happens.

Speaking of DH - he tried my smoothie yesterday morning, and seemed to enjoy it...then actually made himself one last night!!! I couldn't believe it. Maybe he'll come around after all on our WOE .

Coffee is ready!

Default Sunday, Sunday~

Morning ladies! Woke up with my usual Sunday morning headache. Don't know why this happens, but it does. Very strange. got to take some Motrin, so I can get on with my day! I've got a 10am appt at the gym with my trainer (I love that she works on Sundays!), then we're meeting friends for lunch/brunch...Pancake House. Good thing is, they make egg-white omelets. So I'll get one loaded with veggies!

Rest of the day is sewing, and making the rest of my "cake-pops" for work. Fun, but a lot of work. I'll let you know how they go!

Tomorrow should be day 1 of Phase 2 for me. I'm pleased with the scale. One of these days I'll get a "ticker" going! I'm a bit nervous about phase 2. Phase 1 was so easy, not having to even THINK about fruits or grains!! Now, lordy lordy, I'll have to THINK!! To plan out my day! In the book, he says phase 2 to add back just 1 fruit a day, and to do it towards the end of the day. In case it should spike a craving. So, I've really got to plan this out!!

Should probably go get ready now. anyone in the path of the storm, good luck! I don't know if we'll get anything more than rain here in western NY. Hope not, anyway!

Take care, ladies, and have a great Sunday!

Good Morning

I'm glad to hear you all are taking precautions regarding the upcoming East Coast storm. Take care everyone!

We're just enjoying pretty mild weather although it has turned a bit colder. I am anxious to try out my new bike so I think we'll catch up on chores then head to Denver. Kirk mentioned Bing had gotten pretty dirty yesterday. I think I'll give him a bath after we get home.

Take care and have a good Sunday!

Good morning.

I hope my son in PA is preparing himself for the storm! I'll be thinking of all of you out east.

My store is having a meeting before we open today to get us ready for the holiday season. Then I have another afternoon to be lazy. Yesterday I actually finished a book!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, all.

Thanks, Jennifer! Mine are both indoors in the winter, too, although I don't have a trainer...recumbent bike upstairs, though.

Awesome ride Debbie! You are cycling in style I have a spin bike in my living room. I am using the trainer more because I need to get used to being in the saddle for long rides.
