Hiya,

Yep I got the dessert link thanks CBeen. I'm having Total Fage 0% fat greek yoghurt with splenda and no-sugar jam for dessert at the moment which is nice but am looking for a bit more variety. How did your Quark experiment go?
I couldn't find low fat ricotta but got the normal one from Tesco which isn't too high in fat so I've had some of that but just can't seem to find a good recipe for it so it's just sitting in my frige at the moment.
I'll have to give the nutty granola recipe a go, looove Granola!
I found a really nice dip in Waitrose this week called 'Babaganosh' which is an smokey aubergine turkish dip which is delicious with celery and my new fave snack alongside roasted chickpeas (just like popcorn kernels!)

Wow congrats on the 4 lbs loss in less than a week! BRILLIANT!!
I've not yet been on the scales but my jeans are getting looser already.

Amber, where did you find the recipe for cream cheese cupcakes? Was it from this site? If so will scout it out. Congrats on your big phase 1 weight loss! Woah-hoo!

How did your Italian dinner go? Did you find SB options on the menu?

Chrissy.

Default Turkey rashers

I have them every morning, they're yum and not tough if I cook them until they're lightly brown. I get mine in Tesco. I don't eat eggs so they're my usual breakfast although tomorrow I'm trying the black bean chicken salsa dish (wish me luck.) I have them with the vegetable hash from the book. Yum!
They're also good as a substitute for bacon in a chicken caesar salad, in phase 2 I added toasted pita as croutons and it was delish!

Hi Chrissy, my quark and peanut butter experiment was a FAIL! LOL
But to be honest I'm better at staying away from lots of sweet things as it tends to get me back in the habit of relying on sweet stuff. So just jelly for now.

Can i ask I'm not sure how much cheese i am allowed in a day and also Hummous is now my new best friend but i'm not sure on how much of that i'm allowed to eat, do you know??

I think it's gonna be T.O.M for me next week as I jumped up 2lbs (water retention ) but this always happens to me so I'll have to hang on in there)
So that's a bit of a bummer, just gonna drink water like its going out of fashion

Check out the FAQ section for answers or come on over and post in the Daily to get input from lots of US, Canadian and other chicks.
Hummus is made from chick peas so you can eat as much as would be in a serving of legumes. Careful though because some of it has a lot of oil and calories DO count.

Cheese can be the culprit when we eat too much as it's very high calorie. An ounce a day is my rule.

Hiya,

I don't think there's a cheese limit but I try not to eat more than 30g of reduced fat cheese a day to be safe. There's no limit to houmous either but I do also buy reduced fat versions.
I'm not going to get on the scales until the end of phase 1 so it will be a big surprise. My clothes are feeling looser already which is good.
I made the yummiest dish today, mexican chicken bake with black beans salsa and cheese. So good! My new favourite meal. How're you going with your meals this week, trying out any new recipes?
Haha.. ok won't try Quark and peanut butter in future!

How about posting your menus in the On Plan thread? You'll get lots of ideas there and referrals to recipes. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/sout...-9-2012-a.html

I was doing ok but I'm losing my will power early evening before dinner.
I was doing really well all day then i got home, had a headache, started to make dinner for everyone then half a white baguette went into my mouth.
I'll get over this I'm always like this to start with dietwise, I need to find my groove, then I'll settle in then away I go.....................gonna keep on trying.

I know what you mean, this diet requires tough will power. I find if I eat carbs on this diet the next day is a struggle as I'm 50 times more hungry. I must admit last night I cheated and had half a pack of chocolate. Soo bad. Not letting it ruin my phase 1 though, and back on track today after my slip up. It's harder today though as as soon as the sugar hits your system you just want more of it.
We need to stay strong. I've got a calender on my fridge that counts down the days to phase 2. I love phase 2, it's so much easier so counting town the days. 10 to go!

Hello, Everyone!

The cupcake recipe is on here under phase 1 desserts.

Italian night went well! I have the meat and cheese board to start followed by an italian salad with chicken and some other yummy things!

I've been sticking to mostly phase 1 foods and recipes though I do have a serving of fruit most days. Some days I have grains and some days I don't! I haven't weighed myself for a week but will do so tomorrow and report back!

Red face

Hi Amber,

I'll have to try out those cupcakes, Mmmm cupcakes.
How did your weigh-in go? It sounds like you're doing very well with exercise so as long as the fruit and grains don't induce a carb raid on your cupboard should be fine.
I've got 4 more days on phase 1, am nearly there woah hoo! I must admit i haven't been perfect with a few days with a naughty addition but mainly have been on track. I haven't weighed myself once yet do looking forward to a nice surprise Friday morning.
Can't wait to start having sweet potato and coleslaw with my dinner and fruit. I'm dreaming of a juicy pear right now.
Are you on phase 2 now?

Hi Chrissy,

I started Phase 2 about a week ago and haven't been nearly as strict as I was on phase 1 and unfortunately, my weight did not go well. My weight is at a stand still which is so frustrating after doing so well on phase 1. I have been cheating a bit as I had a few chips the other night.

I find that any kind of carbs really get my cravings going again so I don't know what I can do about that!

Last night, I went out and cheated at dinner. I have no will power on phase 2. If I start cheating in a night, I feel like I can't stop!

I'm going to be really strict this week and only have a serving of fruit and one grain. No more cheating!
