Hi and welcome! Yes it does go away, it even has a name "the South Beach Flu." The longer you stick with it the better you will feel. The first few days are rough as your body adjusts to not having "crap." It is amazing the difference in how I feel today compared to a few months ago. I am in no way a perfect beacher, but when I fall off plan I get back on right away which helps. After all everything we do in life has choices. Some days I choose ice cream lol
Being a francophone person, you will quickly noticed my English grammar is not perfect... but I do my best
to the beach. Trust me, your English is better then my French.
I do feel queasy in the afternoon. For me that means I need protein. My snack gets eaten at that time. It's either a cheese stick or piece of chicken with a little seasoning and olive oil drizzled on it.
Don't skip meal or snacks. Make sure you get enough protein.
Hi Draghoula, I felt sick during Phase I and put it down to the sugar detox going on. By the time I neared the end of Phase I it went away and I've felt great ever since. Hang in there, it will get better.
Thanks to all of you, it is greatly appreciated. I'm learning a lot here! I will bring more snacks (healthy snacks) at work to try to get rid of this feeling.
Sorry I've been here and there lately. Well, more there than anything. Just need to make time to commit to myself - you know?
Saturday I am hitting the gym for the first time in too long and back on Phase 1 for a few days. No weekend plans, finally, so I plan to cook, cook and cook this weekend! All healthy for me.
Hi again ladies - I was bad today and missed my lunch and snack (was out and busy and before I knew it, it was 4pm) - on the other hand though - I bought a food processor today (they are on sale at Canadian Tire for $44.00 ) - got most of my stuff ready to go away for the weekend - also made the almond/jam bars from the SBD cookbook - and they taste really good!
