PS - Do you use Facebook? Have you ever thought of starting up a Clothing Swap for Dieters? I always see facebook groups that alot of my Mommy friends are on, where they sell for cheap, give away or swap baby and kids clothing and things. Maybe try searching for one first and if you don't find one in your area, start one up! It's a great idea

Not sure if these are in your area but I found a few things doing a google search.

girl I am having the same issue... last year I had decided that if I couldn't lose weight, I was still going to look cute and spent TONS of money on great work clothes. Now, I am depressed because several of the items are going to have to be replaced by this summer.

Here is a big tip- I do a lot of dresses for new items. Dresses seem to go further with weight loss to me than tops and pants.
If you do choose to replace some items, just get the basics... White blouse, black blouse, jeans, black pants, khaki pants and then use funky accesories (that will be the same whether you lose weight or not) to make the outfits look different.
Great scarves and jewelry, bright shoes and hand bags...

Hi all!

Sorry I was MIA for a few days.

Runningfrom - I've done eBay before and it's a lot to put it all up there. Sadly, while it all fit my body type, I don't think the different sizes will fit everyone.

Enit - WalMart clothes don't fit me well enough. isn't that weird? But yes, I've picked up a few pieces here and there. The issue for me is that the women's sizes seem to be for more older women...not necessarily me. But I will keep on looking!

Thanks Chick!

Debbie - you are right on with the whole feeling better in a size that fits. Even though mentally, I think it's all too tight on me to buy something that actually fits. I may run down the road and hit up the GoodWill after all. PS - I worked at a TJ maxx for 3 years

Pearl - that's how I scored clothes in December though as of late, there's been nothing that really fits AND is on sale but good advice

Alder - thanks and sadly no, nothing button down at all. I did find a few clothing swap sites on livejournal though and posted some stuff there. And a friend on FB wants my shirts so I know they will find a good home!

lees3 - thanks! I would love to get cute dresses and skirts but can NEVER find any!! that is my goal for this summer.

As I said, I found a few swap sites on livejournal and took pictures today of everything and posted them up there. I hope to get rid of a lot of it and if not, I will be bringing it all with me to goodwill on Monday morning. I had hoped to sell it to help supplement spending more money but it doesn't look good!

Thanks for all the advice!

Update: Found a cute dress for $25 in Marshalls (and it was in "normal" sizes, XL!) and rediscovered a "too small" dress in my closet that is now a tad too big but I am wearing it! Sold 3 pairs of the jeans online this weekend and will bring the rest to goodwill and shop there, as well as hit up TJ Maxx.

Thanks all!

Yay! that is great... I have a black wrap dress that I got from Lane Bryant. I pair different colored scarves or jewelry and shoes with it...
