Talking about making transformations, here is a big one. I haven't liked my user name since choosing it so have changed it to something that reflects where I want to be some day in the future. Lamay will post no more, instead, it will be TallandThin! Unfortunely I couldn't figure out how to change my user name without completely starting over so my starting date and numbers of posts will be off a little but what the heck.

So we are in Burlington and in our ridiculously expensive hotel If I had known I'd be taking DW to NM in a few weeks we would have stayed at the cheaper hotel but I figured I owe her for the craziness of the last few weeks. Ah well, it's nice to be extravagant once in awhile. It is a gorgeous hotel. We are off to dinner in a little while. I'm glad we are in the same hotel as the party because it's going to be in the teens tonight Seems to early but so it is.

I spent the morning paying bills...sent Kirk to the Vet for Rudi's pills, had him load our recycling then dashed out the door for an 11am appt with our ballots in hand. Got them dropped off, hit the grocery, recycle, p/u dog food, and a return at Staples. Ate lunch (slowly, while seated), then emptied my office so DH could deep clean while I helped his friend to write a letter. OP so far today, which is a success, and we're headed out soon to a "party" at the pool/athletic club...I guess, to appease us while the pool is closed.

Heidi, the pool is closed about 8 days/yr-2 now, 2 in March, 2 before Mem. day and 2 after Labor day. Not too bad, I think.

Well, I was going to get to some personals but had a phone call from a family member so....Take care everyone!

Just kidding. Thanks! I've always been the little hippie driving around in whatever will get me here and there, so it's nice to have a car newer than my 2001 that I traded in (1991 before that, 1987 before that...)

I think Chris likes driving it more than I do. I just like having a warranty, and tread on my tires, and cool stuff (6 disc CD changer?? I didn't know they MADE those!!!!) etc. Not fond of a car payment, but got a heck of a deal.

evening, ladies. hope everyone is having a great, on-plan day.

i'm sort of annoyed that my wednesday morning zumba class was moved to 5:10 a.m., I'm just not coordinated enough to dance at that hour. The last time I tried, I stumbled and hurt my knee. I'm barely coordinated enough later in the morning Ah well, I guess I'll just have to replace it with Wednesday evening spin.

DH is in preparation for finals at the end of the month, so the kids and i have been away a lot in the evenings while he studies. we usually hit the gym. I run and do classes while they play with their friends. I think tomorrow night, we're going to do a bit of shopping. Mama wants a sweater dress.

Hey again, everybody. Got my hair done, came home and watched the rest of Glee (rerun anyway), and I've been watching the election results roll in since. The 2 races that most concerned me are going the way I wanted, thankfully. Yay!!! About to head out in a few to pick up a few groceries before SC. Mom is staying home and has a friend coming to visit her for a girl's weekend, so I have to make sure they have plenty to snack on.

Lexxiss - I guess everybody has their own little busy lives. What others look at and see "busy" we just see as our normal life, yanno??? Okay, well not so much these last few weeks, but still. LOL Mom got stuck going to work one day b/c a chicken truck overturned...and it was one that was on the way TO the slaughterhouse so there were live chickens running all over the interstate, LOL So, when an avocado truck overturns, does it make guacamole???

Ruth - See, ya learn something new everyday!!! I always forget and use the language I'm used to when talking...so anytime any of you guys have a question about something I've said, please ask. I'm especially bad about saying GSW and I've had to explain "gunshot wound" a million times, LOL Too bad you don't live closer to a pool. I have no good excuse except that the pool right by my house is starting to get less and less safe. As much as I love to swim you would think I would take my butt up there during the Summer!!! I never thought about the large print items for the treadmill...that's a good idea!!!

Heidi - I didn't know what Hexane was until we got the call. Luckily the driver called himself so we could know exactly what we were dealing w/ before the fire department got there. Hexane is some nasty stuff, apparently, and is used in the production of iPhones.

Cottage - Holy crap...below freezing!?!?!? EEK!!! Sounds like you had a fun day planned...hope you enjoyed it!!!

Cyndi - I voted early a couple of weeks ago. Looks like we had a good turn out around here..there were long lines at several precincts. Aww, thanks...it's very flattering to be anybody's inspiration...especially for exercise!!! It was tough when I started, but now I'm addicted, LOL Enjoy your stay at the nice hotel...it can sure spoil you quickly, that's for sure!!! I'm a "give me a place to lay my head and shower" kinda girl, but I've stayed in some nicer hotels as well at good discounts and it's HARD to go back after that, LOL

TallandThin - I like the new name!!! Ohhhhhh, I thought you meant you had small cheesecakes, like the size of a salad plate...I didn't realize you meant tiny, LOL I'm w/ you on that...I would've been tempted to eat 3 in one sitting, LOL I wouldn't have...but I would've wanted to REALLY bad!!!

Zeffryn - Holy crap...0510 for a Zumba class!?!?!? That's crazy!!! I would love it if we had a Zumba class at 0600 hrs around here, though...that's right before I head to bed and would give me time to make it there after work. Oh well, it won't happen, though.

Natasha, I hope some of those chickens escaped...a couple of years ago it was asparagus....strawberries. Our neighbor runs one of the big tow trucks so lots of times he brings stuff home.
