My cat seems to think he should wake me up at 4:30. he is always extra needy when we've been away. I hope this passes soon!

I'm off to pour my first cup of coffee. Can I get anyone a mug?

Ruth - Enjoy your porch afternoon. It sounds lovely. Now I'm thinking of iced tea.

Frances - I love morning walks. The world is so quiet

Now to caffeinate!

Hi RuthOuch! I've found the only thing I can do is go to bed early since I always wake up early no matter what!
Hi Frances Glad you have a plan for an early walk. It's starting to get hot here, too. I think your hot would just wipe me out!
ETA- Hi Cyndi Did you find a gardener? I'd like a maid! Enjoy your
I'm formulating a game plan...my car is loaded with beautiful gift baskets filled with expensive wines. There's one spot in the front reserved for Bing. He gets to attend his first Pooch Parade and Rudi has probably seen his last. I still need to get a card table fit in somehow. This AM I'll get a beany brownie made and mentally get my dinner game plan worked out so I don't show up on my doorstep at 5-ready to eat anything. My plan is to walk out the door at about 8:40 and hit the pool for some of my own water aerobics and be to the park by 10. First....

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Debbie! Those gift baskets sound wonderful Will there be pooch parade pics? Sounds like a fun day.

No gardener and no house cleaner so I guess I have to slog away at more of it today. Some years I love putting the garden in but this year I'm just not feeling it. Maybe I'll just plant squash. Shouldn't take much to fill all my beds

I had a wonderful bike ride yesterday and was happy to discover I wasn't as out of shape as I thought. DW and I are getting out this morning for another ride. We added those pedals with the cages this year and they really do seem to make a difference.

Happy water aerobics and happy day my friend

Drat! My snowy white Disney just came back with black stockings on! She obviously found a muddy place and did some digging. I need to check out the fence around the dog yard to see if she found an escape hatch and then give her a bath! (I may take my own bath first and then throw her in the tub - she'll love the lavender bubbles, I'm sure.) I guess Jazz will be Church dog this morning although Disney probably needs it more.

Did you all save any coffee for me?

I woke around 4, but it was raining, and it was lovely to be able to just curl up and drift back off to sleep listening to it.
We're supposed to have showers off and on all day, so Jake and I decided to spend the day giving the sun porch a good cleaning. The cushion covers on the sectional have zippers, so I'm going to attempt to take them off and wash them on the gentle cycle. It should work fine, as it is indoor/outdoor furniture. I'll hang the covers on the clothesline in the basement to dry, though.

Ruth, I have a vivid picture of you and the pups on your front porch. I hope you have a lovely, restful day!

Francis, enjoy your early morning walk before it gets too hot!

Cyndi, I wish I live closer so I could join you and Julie on your bike ride! I've been riding my stationary with the free run on the Wii, and I really enjoy that, although I have to wave the remote back and forth the entire time so it records my progress. I hope you get your garden planted today!

Debbie, those gift baskets do sound lovely! Have fun at the Pooch Parade!

ETA -

I bet Disney will smell wonderful after her lavender bath. Can I borrow her to cuddle up with today, Ruth?

Goood morning!

Cyndi - my coffee just finished brewing...running to get a cup!

Ruth - tee hee hee. I bet she looks cute with boots on!

Cottage - I think it's cleaning for me as well .

Francis - When I visit my mom in cocoa, I'll go on a run at 7ish, and am drenched!! WAY too hot down there!! Good luck!

Me - work wasn't as bad as I thought it would be . Then when I got home, the DH was off with the children at the beach, so I went on a run. Apparently, that wasn't a good thing to do, and I was exhausted the rest of the day (I had some odd gut bug the day before). But, that was a great excuse to read instead of clean, right ??

Today I help the DS's sunday school class, and then probably clean. I need to cook up some beans and plan the week!

PS - For those of you that remember, I saw Matt yesterday, he stopped by my work. He looks fantastic!!! He's kept his weight off, is very happy in his new career, and is running a 10 mile race next month!

Wow you gals are early!

My son and his friend are starting the drive back to campus sometime today. It is about 18 hours (a bit longer to her house actually) and they have three days. She does not drive so will just be keeping DS awake and company. I plan not to worry. But will be happy when I know he has made it there.

Have a great day all

Hi Karen, sending good vibes for a safe trip for DS and his friend....sending you good vibes, too, because I'm sure you'll miss him.

Twynn, have a good Sunday. My beans are cooked and brownie in the oven. Plan, plan, and then.....plan! Lol I'm probably headed to the pool with your friend Billy Ray this AM-thanks. Actually, some mornings it's John Denver, being we're so close to Aspen.

Linda, I had a great visual of your Wii biking on the virtual road while waving the wand. When I come visit I'll bring my real bike and we'll go visit Cyndi and Julie. Enjoy your spiffy sun porch! Wish I had one.

Ruth, at least Snow White fits in the tub!

Cyndi, I'll try to take my camera....I just get sooo busy!

On yesterdays walk we saw a little bunny. This AM, I saw movement in the grass....black and white tail...the cutest skunk! Fortunately, Rudi, on his leash was clueless!

Have a great day everyone!

Back from a bike ride and cleaning the rest of the front gardens. I'm ready for a nap now

It's so nice watching healthy changes in someone else. 2 years ago when we first got the bikes DW rarely rode and was always far behind and ready to turn around sooner. This morning I had to work to keep up with her. The other day we walked 10 miles while birding. I love having a partner who can keep up with me

Debbie, I hope the dust storm didn't ruin the doggy parade today! I got half of my paper done yesterday, so hopefully I can get the other half done today and tomorrow... Then it will be smooth sailing until finals!
