Hi Ruth, yes, the light is on. I'm glad to hear it didn't snow. I guess they are saying we could get one more here-I need to grab my tomato plants and head back to funderland! I hope you DO get your nap today. Happy Mothers Day!

Good morning. I was having an awful time trying to access the site this morning, but I finally succeeded!

A very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! to all the mommies out there. I hope you all have a wonderful day in store.

Today is my one and only day off all year, and I plan to take full advantage of it to do exactly as I please. Jake is taking me out to breakfast, and then, who knows?

Good morning friends and Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there

It's cold and windy here (was it just hot and sunny a few days ago?!) so we are sticking close to home. It is migration season though so we can't resist some birding. Looks like a drive along the river this morning in search of tiny birds Your bird fact for the day - songbirds migrate at night so during the day they are usually resting and eating.

Other than that just another day of chores. I know it won't surprise anyone that the hazelnut chocolate mock snack cake was outrageous and really, really good I also have a bottle of irish cream agave. I have to decide what works best with that. I think the company must have been experimenting and some bottles made their way to the discount stores around here. Yum

Hope your day has some special moments and a little time to relax.

Happy Mother's Day ladies!!!

I don't know what the plan is today. I wouldn't mind going on a hike with the fam, but they have a book sale going on in town too. And, we need to work on the garden!!

Hope you enjoy!

Good morning ladies,

Happy Mothers' Day! It's a tough one here this year, but we've heard from both of my kids so that's made it a little bit easier for my mom. Today is also my son's 26th birthday. We had an ice cream cake before he headed back to Maine yesterday. He's our youngest - how could my baby get so old, so fast! I guess I'll have to start telling people that I was a very young bride. lol

It's going to be a quiet day here. If the rain stops my mom and I are hoping to get a good, long walk in. My sisters will stop in this afternoon.

Enjoy your Sunday friends.

I hope you are all having a lovely day (and you moms are being waited on hand and foot!). It's a beautiful sunny day here today, which is perfect because mom and I are going to rototil the area that's going to be our veggie garden. Hopefully DH will come and help us (we could use the muscle!) but he seems a bit grumpy... not sure what thats about. Anyways, I'm off to get the day started, hope yours is excellent!

Happy Mothers Day!

What a perfect time to come home! My aunt/godmother is coming over today with my cousin and her son (who is my godson) and I'm so excited to see all of them! I haven't seen them since Easter! And of course my mother is positively tickled that I am home. It makes me happy to see her happy. =)

Hope all you mothers out there have a WONDERFUL day!

Happy Mother's day! My 17 year old woke me up with a cup of coffee in bed. It was lovely. Unfortunately, it was because she's feeling guilty because she made plans with a friend today, but....
And now I have to get myself moving and drive into NYC to clean out my older D's dorm room (and her Boyfriend's). This is after driving D2 to the mall. Looks like I'm spending Mother's day being a Mom. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Have a great day ladies!

Happy Mothers Day! Beautiful sunny day here in Iowa! Will go for a walk this afternoon. Went out for breakfast this morning. Had a lovely veggie omelet. DH starts his new job tomorrow. I'm so excited for him. Hope he likes it. DS graduates from college next weekend, so this will be a busy week for us. I've been OP for the past week and feeling really good, except for waking up two nights ago with incredible pain in my right ankle. Felt like arthritis, but woke me up with intense burning, throbbing. I've never had joint pain in my ankle before. Couldn't get back to sleep until I took a prescription painkiller I had from a while ago. When I got up in the morning it was stiff and sore. Now I have no pain at all. Weird!
