Cyndi- LOL. Funny how many of us give life to our scales.
Twynn - I wish my kids would eat brown rice! We make a lot of white rice for the one still at home during his running seasons. Only he eats it now.
Heidi - I am so with you on the "head" thing. I know I get way to caught up in a number that I pick. You have been inspiring in your stick-to-it-ness with this WOE and how it makes you feel. I hope the darn scale rewards you soon!
Linda - Have fun with the girls. Are they on break from school?
Mmc - Good job yesterday! There is one blog I follow in which the gal always sets clear weekend goals for herself since she knows that is her toughest time to stay on track. I keep thinking I should try that.
MJ - I cannot imagine being without the internet and then I think back and it seems that just a few years ago I didn't even know what it was!
Debbie - That sounds wonderful. I hope you can post a picture here. Funny that I have not known you that long an in that time have formed a clear image of a very fit woman who is very physically active.
Chelby - Good luck today.
Good morning to all who follow
I am not going to attempt my usual Tuesday strength class, which is depressing since I didn't do any weights in over a week thanks to vacation. I will get on that boring elliptical again at home and try to motivate myself to do squats and lunges and work any other part that is not connected to my darn shoulder.
Cyndi - good idea not to get stuck in mud.
Tywnn and Karen - brown rice is fantastic, Karen have you tried the baking method, it is so good.
Heidi - just think of it as your body getting a rest. I use to record my weight lose and notices that every few week there would be a plateau.
Cottage - you couldn't have a better day that spending it with grandkids.
Mmc - hope your day is better with the babysitter today and great on the phase 1
MJ - glad you are back.
Tammie - had a smile over your story of the dogs and the bird.
Karen - you should see the dr. no point suffering
Debbie - I just can't believe your accomplishments. You are such a roll model here. Enjoy your stay there/
Pearlrose - I guess laundry would be fun sometimes, at least we don't have to use the old scrub board.
me - out to the mall for a walk today since rain is forecast for the day and then I will finally be sewing together the irish knit sweater I made for my grandson. Had to redo one of the sleeves because somehow they ended up differently. I am thru with my physical and am one healthy old broad.
take care
Sophie

Debbie, I've so much enjoyed looking at your pictures on FB. The beauty of nature in that area is just awesome, and that's pretty darned fabulous that you hiked to the top of Angels Landing! What an accomplishment! You've sure come a long way! Our snow is almost gone, it's just lingering in the deep shady areas now.
I'm back and have been busy. Tomatoes roasting in oven, beans in crockpot, fajita meat marinating I really need to get caught up this week on my scrapbook since I have photos laid out on my dining room table and we have guests coming this weekend. Wish I had done it before I hurt my shoulder! Will walk outside with a friend today... 60 degrees predicted. DH is gone for the day. I probably didn't tell you that while we were away, his mom fell and broke her wrist in two places. Earlier this year she fell and cracked ribs. I wish he would figure out if something needs to be done about her living alone. But it is not my place to push. Right now she is in assisted living for a week thanks to the injury. Not sure what is next.
Karen, not yet. We are still waiting to hear back from the college he really wants to go, they may be offering track scholarship so we are waiting. He got a full 4 year tuition scholarship to U of I but he would have to dorm there and he doesn't want to, so we play the waiting game.
Ruth- I know what you mean about the food- but I am back on track yesterday and today with eating and didn't really have any cravings so that's good.
Afternoon everyone!
Today is a rough rainy day in Massachusetts. I've been running since 8:30 this morning. Finally have a half hour to rest before going to my last class.
Did my second training session for tour guiding today! It was fun, I had to give half the tour on my own. Next time I give the whole tour on my own. Its nice to get in that extra hour of walking too.
I've got a big paper to write tonight and another one to finish for Thursday, meaning its going to be a long night tonight. BUT, in good news, today marks one full, clean week on Phase I! Huzzah! =)
Hello to everyone else! Hoping for whooshes all around!
Things are alright here. Leaving for NM tomorrow afternoon for a leadership seminar with boss-man. I really don't want to go, but I'm trying to be optimistic and hope that it will give us some ideas for getting our crew motivated again. I'll be back home late Thursday night, so at least it's a short trip.
I'm doing pretty well eating-wise. I succumbed to some Whoppers this afternoon, but I'm just going to breeze past it and make up for it during workout tonight. DH is back to coaching me, at my request, and last night's workout was brutal, but good. I'm looking forward to working with him more. It really does make us closer.
My scan showed that I do not have an obstruction. The tech couldn't tell me if my gallbladder is working correctly or not. I have to wait for a call from the doctor. The scan did show that I have something 'extra' going on -- maybe an extra gallbladder that doesn't empty. Wouldn't that be interesting? I can't wait to hear from the doctor.
