Didn't you eat a bunch of chocolate yesterday and drink quite a bit the night before? Sounds like you need some serious Phase 1 days to detox and get rid of those cravings, but I bet you know that already

When I'm having terrible, unreasonable cravings, sometimes a spoon of peanut butter will help.

Also have no peanut butter left. Hving a down day and wanting comfort food. Really am going to be extremely good this week, and excersise everyday. Alcohol is evil!!!

No need to beat yourself up. You messed up with the alcohol and then the hangover did you in. Now you know better. It's a learning process. The mistake would be using that as an excuse to continue to eat off plan. If you want to get back on plan just do it. You know you can because you already had 5 (?) clean days under your belt. Just keep moving forward

Do you have any teas you really like or sf hot chocolate? Something that is warm and soothing but not off plan might fill that need. Exercise is also really good for the blues. How about a DVD or a little yoga?

Love it! I also like "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels."

Lusty - I agree with Cyndi. You may not like hearing this but you just need to exert willpower and get past the days of cravings. It will get easier! When I started PH1 I thought about food seemingly every minute of the day Time for you to go shopping for some acceptable comfort foods and things you can keep in the house for times like this. Try the black bean brownies or something similar.

Toast and jam will not make you feel better!!

Hello,

I'm new - but I'd like to help. Sometimes I find oatmeal helps (instant or the real kind), just a small bowl with some vanilla almond milk, a tsp of raisins and a sprinkle of cinnamon (or a tsp of maple syrup). It's good for you, and it's kind of like a warm cookie in a bowl
I'm from Toronto, and there's a place here called David's Tea - they make one called Coco Chai Rooibos that smells amazing and has helped me through many a sugar/dessert craving!!!
Good luck

treebird - I assume you aren't following South Beach? We don't eat instant oatmeal or raisins.
