Rikki: This is the journal I bought. It got rave reviews on some of the weight loss blogs I read and I LOVE that it just looks like a little, leather notebook when you take the cardboard label band off. So many of the journals I researched SCREAMED weight loss journal and I'd like to be a bit more discreet.

Hello to everyone else! I've got to get moving to get to work on time!! I'll be back by later.

Am I the only non-early bird here??

I made the mock cornbread and on a scale of 1-10, I give it an 8. Good texture, good taste, just too sweet. Tastes good against the spice of the chili though! Tried yogurt with SF Jello mix this morning and wish I had tried it sooner. SO yum!

Posted a journal entry. Willpower will be tested today. Sorry no time for individuals but I am already running late.

Have a good day all!

ETA: Tammie -- I am a compulsive overeater too. You are doing the right thing and we're here for you!

Good morning chickies,

Kim and Cyndi - so sorry to hear that so much garbage is going on at work. DH gets together with some former workers from time to time and always comes home saying he is so happy to be retired because there is so much stress now.
Just take it one day at a time, easier said than done.

Debbie - I like your way of thinking.

Just wanted to get my two cents in.

Everyone else have a nice day.

Off to a guild meeting this afternoon and need willpower because the goodies and tea are always nice.
take care
Sophie

I'm making some right now! The way I do it is to dissolve my favourite jelly/jello powder in boiling water as per usual, let it cool, then chill until thickened but not set. Add non-fat/sugar-free natural yoghurt to make up the total volume and whip together. Chill until set.

Does that make sense? I'm assuming that jello mix would normally have you dissolve in boiling and then top up with cold water. So instead of the cold water, you add yoghurt.

And... good afternoon everyone!!

I am having a busy day and I've finally managed to venture into the kitchen properly for the first time since Thursday last week. DH has been in charge of cooking for us all which was awesome but I am now trying to figure out what the revolting greasy mess is in my favourite casserole dish. And I cannot find the coffee anywhere.

Am more mobile again, yay! Foot is still being weird, but I guess I'm going to have to get used to that.

And now I am going to go and have some tea and imagine I'm in Barbados with zero snow forecast.

I literally sprinkled in some SF Jello powder into my yogurt. So it flavors it (got sick of plain flavored yogurt). I forget where I read it but it was here and makes plain yogurt taste YUMMY. I inhaled it this am. I know others do it with Crystal Light (or similar) powders too.

wow, ya'll are chatty this morning. I can't catch up on all the personals.

Watching my best friend's daughter this morning. She is the same age as Calvin. They are the cutest bunch ever. I never thought I would enjoy having another toddler in the house, but she is such a joy to have around. They are so polite together, even when they are disagreeing. "Can I have a turn, please?"..."um, no thanks!" ha!

DH has to be at school late today and then I have to figure out what to do with his laptop. It is just automatically shutting off - I think it is a heat issue. I'm hoping it is just a heat issue *crosses fingers* and not something more expensive like the motherboard. I don't think it would power up if the motherboard was out though.

Yesterday was really clean and I'm motivated to keep today going. I've been tempted to stress eat because of DS1's surgery coming up and I made the protein cheesecakes to help with those cravings. They did the trick last night! I woke up this morning for the first time in a long time and my fingers were not bloated! I am tempted to step on the scale, but I think I will reserve that for Friday.

That sounds interesting! I might try doing that next time.

Hi All-busy day, but I'm in a much better mood. I'm thankful right now because I feel so much better than I would have after stress eating. I'm looking forward to chalking up an OP day.

I just wanted to sit and sip but I need to get my mini workout and some house cleaning in before dinner. Normally, I might procrastinate both, but I have a chance of leaving here tomorrow if my work is done.
