Thermals sound like such a good idea---if the weather here stays cold for much longer I may have to investigate some! It's -6C here just now, and horribly icy. Snowshoes might also be a good plan, but I've never seen anyone wearing them in the UK!!!

Today has been a bit rubbish. I hopped on the scales to see how I was doing, and then kicked the scales away as normal. And then promptly collapsed with the worst pain/spasm I've ever felt all down the right side of my body. Luckily I was heading out to the doctor's anyway *sigh* So I now have a trapped nerve to add to my woes. I'm being referred for physio and I've also got the chiropractor tomorrow. I must sound like the most pathetic person in the world at the moment

Hope everyone is having better days than I am!

I'm very embarrassed! Now that I rush to work half an hour early I haven't been proof reading my posts as I should. My dorky habit of using - all the time made me a liar this morning.....

It was a balmy +22 when I posted, and it's up to +29 now with very little wind. Nice weather for snowshoes!

Zeffryn, what a great idea for a birthday cake!

Shimmy, I hope you feel better soon.

to the rest of you, no time for personals right now. I'm still at school, but wanted to correct my big fat lie!

I'll check in again from home tonight.

Checking in guys! I'm still on the beach but haven't posted all morning because I was actually busy booking my trip TO the beach for March - we're going to Florida - even more motivation to stick with it! I've got a PTA meeting tonight but I packed dinner for myself to eat at the office before I go. It's been a great day.

Hi everyone
I had a better day and I'm down a pound. Classes were great and I actually came home and got all my work done.

Ruth, that's alot of blood! Hope you're feeling better.

Cyndi, I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better. Hope you enjoyed your snowshoes after that nasty meeting!

Chelby, I think by now you have snow. Stay warm, this too shall pass!

Jenn, I'm glad your dental work is done. I had a big project that I put off for years, and finally got it done last year. It has really helped my self esteem to keep my teeth in good repair. I hope your knee is feeling better.

Zeff, your caterpillar cake sounds like so much fun. I know DS2 will love it however it turns out. Boy, I sure love those breakfast casseroles!

Shimmy, I listen to BBC every morning, so I've had lots of reports about your weather. I hope the chiro resolves your aches and pains.

RHP9, enjoy sunny southern California while you can-I think you're going back to a deep freeze. Wave at me when you fly over Colorado.

Mmckellen, Florida sounds great. BTW my dad was raised in the Bronx. I'd like to take my DH back east some day.

DH just got home-he was cruising in the mtns with some friends. I got alot done while he was gone Time to think about dinner.

Good evening,

Congratulations Debbie, what an accomplishment.

The last few days have been busy. Yesterday we bought a new light fixture for the eating area in our kitchen. Of course, the involved going to about three stores.
Today had to pick up my new eyeglasses, walked the mall and in the afternoon went with DH to buy light bulbs for the fixture, I can't believe how many different light bulbs there are, I swear I was going to scream because DH spent about half an hour deciding which ones to get. I phoned and enquired about the walking classes at our community center and its on a come by basis, so I hope to start on Monday morning. Getting tired of walking the mall.
Have a good evening everyone
take care
Sophie
