1lesslb, you definitely need to read the book!!!! You shouldn't be hungry with this way of eating. Can you post a sample menu of what you've been eating the last 4 days?

I just scoop them out onto a baking sheet and pop it into the freezer. When they are frozen throw them all into a ziploc or container and pull them out as you need them. I thaw before baking, but you might not have to. I've done it with chocolate chip, snickerdoodles, peanut butter, and oatmeal, and it's worked well for all. Haven't done sugar, but I expect you could just free the dough lump and thaw it when you're ready to roll them out.
Thank you so much for this. I'm going to stop by the grocery store on my way home today and pick up what I need to make my Christmas cookies. This is going to my make Christmas entertaining so much easier!
Cyndi, suuuuuuure you were. I didn't know you were Italian! You must be related to Chris and his ginormous family then, too. This means there is potential for us to actually be related someday! Forget Guido, then! I'm calling Mema. Nothing like a 4'1" 84 year old Italian grandmother to whip somebody into shape!
1less, I'm not the best person to judge a menu, but you seem to be lacking in the beans/nuts/legumes department. Those things have plenty of fiber and protein, and will fill you up (and help.... other issues that may arise.) You may try plugging your info into Fitday and see how many calories you're actually consuming. It may be that you're just not getting enough, but I don't know what your portion sizes are like.
1less, I agree, my menu would have more dairy, beans, nuts in there. Make sure you have some kind of protein with each meal, it will help keep you from getting hungry, and if you do get hungry, have a snack, as long as it's something legal.
Ruthie! How cute. Sorry you're having troubles with the log-in.
Lisa, I love the name Anna. It was almost Avery's name. Almost, like for three days (yes, after she was born!), we were trying to decide between Avery Claire and Anna Elise.
1lesslb, it would serve you well to read the book thoroughly. It really helped me stay on plan when I understood WHY the plan was the way it was. This way of eating makes a lot of sense. You've gotten great advice on your menu. Have you stopped into the Phase 1 thread?
I am in bed at 7:18 in my PJs watching Survivor. I already brushed my teeth and if I nod off at 8:00, that is fine with me!
Kara, well Chris being Italian and all, it's actually Adrianna (ay-dree-AH-nah) but we call her Anna (normal pronunciation) for short. She's such a delight to be around! I can't wait to see them tonight!
HELLLLLOOOOO Chickies: this is a quickie had to take Megs for a test this morning at the hospital and they were running an 1 1/2 behind and her test was for 8:15 go figure. Then I rushed home and have been cleaning and baking as we are off to DH grandma's 90 birthday tomorrow we are having a big family party sat and then a big breakfast on sunday morning. Not sure if we are staying up over night. If we do I am off to a party as well. Busy Busy Busy. Well got to dash and finish up. Just took two minutes to jump in and say Hello.
Oy! and Grrr! I seem to have spent the whole darn day trying to get back in here as myself. There has been a major problem but it's nearly fixed now.
AND....the tub guys are gone! I managed a nice soak this morning before they came back to put on some finishing touches like baseboards. Yes, I was out of the tub and dressed when they arrived!
Now to finish up wrapping so the house can be readied for Donna Day tomorrow. I am so glad I'm home tonight with the doggies becauses it's really cold out there. I'm just back from a trip to the bank and will enjoy some tea and the woodstove for a while.
Just looked outside and it's snowing again. It'll definitely be a white Christmas around here.
Whew! I'm glad you were finally able to get your password all straightened out, Ruth!
Whoever asked, yes, you can bake the frozen scoops of cookie dough straight from the freezer. They actually hold their shape better that way, especially chocolate chip.
Schmoodle, congratulations on the new car! A good friend of mine got a brand new red Prius this past summer, and she adores it. It is a nice car, enjoy!
Holy cow were the crowds ever out this morning! I think everyone took today off to go shopping! At least everybody was in good spirits and there was lots of joking and laughing in the checkout lines. I made out very well, and only have two more gifts to buy. I did end up getting a gift certificate to a nice restaurant for my DS and DIL. I think they'll enjoy a nice evening out, since with two little ones they don't get many oppportunities.
Caitlyn and Carley came out on the train to spend the weekend with us, and are here now, so I may not be able to check in again until later.
Funny, but I have an Uncle Guido in my family, too! What a coincidence!
Didn't get a chance to post earlier crazy day had to go to two meetings at a different location this morning and then around lunchtime drive back home. Been wfh this afternoon but its been busy and then just took DD2 for her 2nd H1N1 shot- tonight is opening night of her play. We are excited. I got a ticket for tonight to watch opening night and then the next three performances I will help out downstairs and then as a family we are all watching last performance Sunday evening.
Her Christmas program at school was last night it was great, she had a good time.
Alright have about 4 minutes till I am off, so gotta run have a great evening everyone.
