This is great!! I love hearing what others are doing because it always gives me ideas I don't think of! I'm not much of a cook, never have been, and I hate recipes... so I love all these "quick" ideas! Now that I've found Ezekial bread (soooo good!) I might have a BLT tomorrow! I prefer non-breakfast foods (used to be pizza!) for breakfast, so that might be perfect! I've also never liked oatmeal, but it's been awhile since I've tried it, so maybe my tastes have changed? I found out that I now like sweet potatoes when I never did before, so you never know!

Thank you all for sharing this!

Sheba's Mom - I love my little dachshund! He is my best friend and loves me no matter what I weigh :-)

Default shake

I found a recipe for a shake that I have been making while in Phase 1. If anyone is interested, I can post the recipe, just let me know. Basically it is water, ice and LF cottage cheese. You blend it with a LC/LF/SF hot cocoa mix, and the littlest amount of Splenda you can take. (I need the whole packet). It makes a large serving, and is very filling. SOunded gross at first.....but there were only so many mornings on Phase 1 I could eat eggs or veggie cups.

My fave breakfast staple is the Oscar Meyer Louis Rich Turkey Bacon. YUM!!!!

I am only on day 4 of Phase 1 and already sick of eggs and peameal bacon... it's so hard to not be allowed a half an english muffin or oatmeal or something with carbs... I am for sure a toast-type breakfast easter and I find breafkast definitely the toughest part of Phase 1.

I am now hooked on the flax muffins with a T of sf strawberry preserves in the middle.

Kieire- Isn't there a lot more fat in the almond meal? I think I stopped going near it the first time I saw the fat count. I'm trying to get more flax in with winter coming. My creaky joints are already getting started so I hope the flax will help. Bet the almond tastes great though! I am pretty darned happy with the flax muffins (which I finally tried thanks to your reviews )

I was concerned about the almond meal but it's actually only 40 calories more, 5 more grams of fat. I don't add fat either, doesn't seem necessary. Maybe I'll try the mix tomorrow.
