Good Morning!

Ruth, hope you have fun this afternoon relaxing. I think I'm going to do the same thing except for sewing. (after I get this house straight, laundry, grocery store and cooking!)

Cottage, sounds like a great day for an afternoon nap!!

Guess today will be the last time I post early in the mornings for a while. Have to report back to work tomorrow. Will be leaving the house again at quarter to 5 to hit the gym before school. Will try to post when I can and promise to keep up! If I post from work, it will be a quick hey and no time for personals.

My new "fat melter" came in yesterday afternoon. I was like a kid at Christmas getting it out of the box. Tried it out and seems like it just may work. Didn't notice a difference on my tummy but it's a lot "thicker" than my legs, so I'm sure it will take a while. But did notice a difference in the cellulite in my legs right away...especially in the front of my thighs. The cellulite there is not that bad, but when I ran my finger over one thigh that I had done before the other one, I could definatly feel that it was a lot less "lumpy". Had my husband feel both and compare without telling him which was which and he felt it too. cool.

Morning Ladies!

Ruth - Enjoy the dogs and your sewing this afternoon. I don't get to sew nearly often enough these days.

Cottage - Hope you get your lazy day with lots of sunshine but not too hot.

Cat - Keep us posted on the "fat melter" and how it works. Have fun at school this week.

As for me - I survived the reunion. DH went to a very large school so there were only about 5 people he knew and the band was so loud my ears are still ringing. At least we won't have to go back for at least another 5 years. Looking forward to a nice quiet day and having some friends for dinner tonight with new recipes from a SB cookbook on the menu.

Hi Everyone

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Not eating bad, but just in a funk. Miss DH, but also miss my home in Alaska when he's there. You all mean alot to me. Thanks for all the support. Life is a bit boring right now.

Hey Debbie - sorry you're in a funk. Do you have hobbies to occupy your mind? How about a good book? I'm almost finished reading "The Shack" and it is awesome!

sophie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

What's this "fat melter" that you speak of, Cat? It sounds pretty awesome, especially if you can see a difference right away.

waquilter, I'm glad you survived the class reunion. I haven't been to one of mine in ages, but it would be fun to find out what my old school chums look like and what they're up to these days. I've only been in touch with one or two of them.

Debbie, it must be hard with your DH being away, but try to look at it as a vacation for yourself. Watch a tear-jerker or a girlie movie, stay in your PJ's all day, and eat a bowl of cold cereal for your supper. I enjoy "my" time when Jake and I are apart, and it makes being together again extra special. Feel better soon!

We went out for a few groceries, but now I'm cozily nestled on the sofa on the sunporch and plan to read and nap the afternoon away. Dustin, Andrea and the grandkids will probably turn up later for supper, but Jake said he'd just grill up burgers and hotdogs, and I made a bowl of cucumbers in sour cream and another big bowl of macaroni salad for them. I'll have Jake grill me a portabella or two and top them with Laughing Cow, and I made a nice ww orzo salad for myself.

Hi Chickies,

Thanks Cottage, all I got to say is "what's age got to do with?"
I'm joining the l'age d'or club with Ruth. Now I'm on the government payrole.
Special dinner tonight with sons and then on Saturday we leave for about a month for Calgary to visit DD's family.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
take care
Sophie

Cottage, it's called a slimray. You can google it to find stuff about it.

Debbie, sounds like it's time for a girl day!! Go to the movies...go see Julie and Julia. Be rebelious and sneak food in! Then go get some new fingernail polish and a facial mask. Give yourself a spa day or night. Watch girl stuff junk on tv that your husband hates. If you have "on demand" on tv, go watch all the episodes of Drop Dead Diva on lifetime.
(I was kind of depressed about going back to school tomorrow and went and got some new polish, foundation, eyeliner etc..I know I'll enjoy being back, but hate to lose my freedom!) I feel much better now.

Go to the grocery store and get a bunch of stuff to cook and freeze for when DH gets home. Put on some music and dance and sing while you cook. Then you'll be gorgeous when he gets home and won't have to cook and have more time to spend with him!

Thanks, Cat. I did google it. If it really works, it's well worth the price, but that's too steep a price for me right now.

Hello Chicks Missed you all this weekend. I just spent 2 whole days with no internet and no cell service! It was a wonderful, relaxing two days filled with bird watching, woods walks, and listening to loons. Just what the doctor ordered.

Ruth - Hope you and Disney are enjoying a relaxing day

Cottage - ditto on the relaxation

Cat - hmm, I am very curious about this new gadget. I'll miss seeing you every morning. Hope all goes well back at work!

Debbie - What was on today's agenda? I'm feeling slightly guilty about not picking or putting anything up. Ah well. I did dry 8 trays of giant zucchini before I left and will get the other one set-up tomorrow.

Kim Hope it was a good one.

Sophie Wow, it's a big birthday weekend

jrizzle, waquilter, bbygrl1117, bbygrl1117 & Sunshine

I made a really yummy, filling and easy breakfast concoction for our trip. I used Kalyn's basic breakfast casserole, http://kalynskitchen.blogspot.com/20...swho-knew.html , with a mix of sauteed veggies and a little salsa. I added refried beans to that and used that mixture for the bottom layer. It was really good. DP actually ate the last piece cold for lunch. I tossed the others on the grill for a few minutes than on a warmed piece of ww lavash. Heated both sides with the casserole in so it would get toasty and the cheese would melt. It made a nice flatbread type sandwich. definitely a good addition to our weekends away and those weeks we just want an easy breakfast. The casserole is pretty wet coming out of the oven and needed to cool on a rack but held together well once it cooled.

Hi Everyone!

We got home today around 1:00 this afternoon. Auston visited with his dad for a while then went up to take a nap. I need to go get him now or he won't sleep tonight! We had so much fun in Lake Charles. The older I get, the more I realize that time with my family is priceless. I ate stuff I am not used to eating and got the worst heartburn Saturday night! I hate heartburn!

Cyndi, I'm glad you enjoyed your weekend, too!

Schmoodle, Can't wait to see the picture! Maybe!

Debbie, Hang in there, friend. I'm with Cat. It's time for a Chick Flick. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is my favorite!
