I am not very happy with Robert. He was supposed to make his changes to the divorce decree and get them back to me a week ago. He did get me some of them a couple of days ago but he was nothing but excuses when I talked to him this morning. I told him that he needed to get them to me by tomorrow morning or I would send what he had so far on to my lawyer. We are pretty close to an agreement so he just needs to get it done.
I did check to see how long it would take to refinance/cash out to get him his money and it is 50 or so business days in Texas so I started that process. I just need to make sure the divorce is final before the closing but that better happen. It's been almost 14 months since I filed and I am ready to get this over with.
Brian and I enjoyed the grilled shrimp I fixed for dinner last night. I"m trying a spicy beef kabob recipe tonight. I might as well get the grilling in before the next cold front gets in. Right now it is almost hot (they say it might get to 90 today!).
Hey Jenn -- Fun pictures! And I thought Vegas was just for gambling. Maybe you can bring GOOD karma to the old building if you get the job. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
It's 85 now and I turned on the fans since I don't want to run the air conditioning. We'll be back below freezing by the weekend. I do love the warmth but this wide temperature variation may be one reason so many people are getting sick.
I will be missing for awhile. Going out west to babysit my grandson for at least two weeks while my daughter goes away to Vancouver for training for her new job. My DH is coming along to help me out, I am reluctant to drive in a new city so it will be nice to be mobile.
Lots to do here before I go.
Hope everyone stays on track. I doubt I will be checking in because the little rascal will be keeping me busy.
see you soon

Brian and I got to ride bikes for an hour today. It was so nice out. It's hard to believe we are dropping almost 60 degrees in the next couple of days but I'm glad we got out and enjoyed it while we could. I grilled beef kabobs tonight and they were good. Lots of spices which is just the way Brian likes his food.
The people across the street had their house broken into from the alley today. Sounds like they lost a lot. Another house down the street got hit a month ago. Makes me wonder if I should get a dog. It would be cheaper than getting a security system that would detect breaking glass. The robbers are coming in through broken sliding glass doors (I have a French door but they could come in through a window).
