Why would someone use their real name in public places like facebook? I have an account and some of my relatives denied me because at first they didn't know it was me! LOL

Hello all... Been busy cleaning, taxes and now I'm here to create the week's menu so I can go shopping in a few here. Busy day today, going to take the pups to the park and let them run. Hope everyone is well.

Hey, girls. Just finished folding and putting away what seemed like a million articles of clothing.

About taking the kids out?...I've never really had a problem with it. Calvin knows that tantrums are completely unacceptable and have never (and will never) gotten him what he wants. All I have to do is remind him of that fact and they stop pretty abruptly. He has never been one to throw an all out tantrum, just get a little whiny. I guess I'm lucky in that respect. I actually enjoy taking the kids on errands with me. Calvin is very entertaining and makes monotonous, boring things like errands go a bit faster and with a bit more "spark"...plus, he makes people around us laugh as well.

Had a birthday party here last night. Not everything was put away but everything was set up that needed to be. It was a good time -- Calvin played with his little friend and we played board games. Quite enjoyable.

Alright...time to move on to the next task.

Twynn - Good luck with your inspection, dear!

My boys are pretty good in the store. They know that they always need to be in my sight. We usually talk before hand what we will be buying and they know if they will be getting any sort of treat. Most days it is good. However, there have been times where it is CRAZY!

We got all of our chores done. The two youngest are taking a nap and the oldest is playing a computer game for 15 minutes. I should be cleaning the house but instead I am on here. This is much more fun!

when kenedie was young she was a great girl in public.... chloe and brady are only 9 1/2 months apart and argue alot. but on the same hand love each other to death. they dont get out with us much, so maybe thats why they get crazy in the store. they dont throw fits, they just want everything. it all depends on my mood too. if i remain calm, then so do they.... unfortunately im nt calm lol... im rather hyper and high strung lol.. can ya tell?? lol.... i went from having one child and single to married with 6 kids in just a few years. its been tough. then my mom and dad's health isnt the best. mom is a breast cancer survivor. just have alot on my mind, and i let it get to me. i worry too much.,.. about everything. i tell myself that i cant do that, we cant control everything but i dont listen very well lol....sorry gals, just in one of those moods and unloading on ya'll.... talk later..

Sad news last night, my doggie Mac got loose and was hit by a car and passed away. Sad day for us all.

Have a good day ladies.

Lots of people were not happy to come to work today and find out pay is being cut 5%. They are also reducing the 401K matching so I'm reducing my contributions by 2% so it won't be so bad.

I just got a call from my district guy saying I need to cut my camp budget by $2,000. I sure hope he comes through with getting the other programs to help pay for stuff otherwise we will be over budget after camp. He tried to tell me to get less port-a-potties but I quoted state rules on that one so he had to back down.

Work just got busy so I'd better go now.

Pearl -- I'm so sorry about your dog.

Barb -- Cutting potties? Tell him you can cut the men's potties. They can use trees!

Stacy -- 9 1/2 months apart? Someone didn't wait their doctor-given 6 weeks off!

Chelby - This is Cub Scout camp. I would not want to do anything to discourage the boys from using the potties. The city would not like what boys could do to their trees and the boys would think it was fun. Past experience has shown that clean port-a-potties make a big difference in getting the moms to come back with the boys the next year.

Barb -- We live in the 'woods'. Auston thinks that pottying outside is big fun. We had to teach him that what he can do at home, he can't do in town. We were at a yard sale in Birmingham. I looked up and saw him with his pants around his ankles. NOOOOO!!!! But, you are right. THIS mom needs a real potty. I hope Auston wants to be in Cub Scouts when he gets older. He's in 4K now. I loved being a Brownie.

lololol chelby!! must be a redneck thing! last summer i caught brady peeing up against the neighbours house!! i was so embarassed but inside i was laughing my butt off. (just like his daddy) lol... and no we didnt wait the recommended 6 weeks... chloe was such and easy birth, puched once, she came out, one stitch, was showered and ready to go home 3 hours later. but drs wouldnt let me lol... took her to walmart the next day... she was 31 hours old lol!! ppl were looking at me like i was mad (crazy). brady was another story... emergency c-sec, we both almost died. very scary. savvy was planned c-sec, preemie, scary again. but they all healthy now.. we thought brady was going to be challanged becuz his air was cut off from the cord being wrapped around his little neck, his apgar score was only 3... but here he is in junior kindergarten and his teacher says hes very very bright. we had an idea tho, he could work the tv, vcr, and dvd b4 i could lololol... still does it better than me lol. i should try and scan some of the drawings that this boy does. he has one heck of an eye for detail. its almost scary. geez here i go getting carried away again. sorry ..

on a sad note... sorry to hear about your dog pearlrose.

Oh my Stacy! I can't imagine all that you have been through. Glad to hear they are all thriving. Just curious, how old are your kids?

As for the "redneck" thing, I am not a "redneck" and my son loves to pee outside. I think it is a boy/man thing! LOL!

okay.. heres my kids... (step daughter) samantha 17, (step son- no longer living at home, long story) john jr 16, (from my first marriage) kenedie 11- 12 in may, then me and john have chloe 5, brady 4- 5 in june, and baby savannah (savvy) is 18 months. and in between brady and savvy i lost a baby at about 10-12 weeks pregnant, we named her dakota. ah the way i try to look at things is everything happens for a reason. not always sure why but there is a reason. when i lost dakota, i lost my mind. talk about a mess. then i got preg with savvy... at 10 weeks i started bleeding and thought that once again i was losing a baby... only to find out that the heartbeat was 154 and strong... i was amazed. i went all weekend in mourning to find out monday that the baby was fine.... theres a reason for savannah being here. might not know it yet but i believe theres a reason. im not overly religious by any stretch but i do believe in this. my mom always says "youre never given more than you can handle" lol there are days that i think thats a load of crap but then at night when youre laying in bed, you think, well i made it through another day lol... and we're all safe and healthy. thats the end of my speeches for today lol i think...

late check in again. I don't know what I did before DH retired. Today we drove to an exotic lumber place about 1 1/2hrs west to get some wood. DH got oak and cherry (in the rough) to make a rocking horse for our grandson. Supposedly it will be ready for his 2nd birthday at the end of August.
Did my little eye spy Ruth on TV waving at Pres. Obama? He was in Ottawa today. Just kidding Ruth.
Cottage - do you add the chopped apple to the oatmeal before or after cooking? I have done it both ways, but just want an opinion from the experts.
Its been a pretty on plan week, hope it lasts thru the weekend.
take care
