Chel - DH's mom's maiden name is Thibodeaux as well. Being a yankee, I think it is hilarious how things are pronounced differently just in this little triangle of the state. A friend of mine in Minnesota has the last name Hebert (pronounced hE-berT) -- imagine my surprise when I learned that down here it is pronounced a-bear!
Thankfully, I understand how the french language works and was able to put it together pretty quickly although I still have to ask DH pronunciations on things once in awhile.
I think if DH posted here, he would lovingly refer to me as BW...I'll let you guess what the "B" stands for
