Default Question regarding protein shake mix

I have the following shake mix, for a Cocoa Flavored Drink - you mix with water and this is the nutrional information:

Calories 120
Fat 1 gram, saturated
Cholesterol 10 mg
Sodium 230 mg
Carbohydrate 7 g, fibre 3 g sugars, 0 g
Protein 20 grams

I am in week one of Phase II - in your valued opinion, is this an appropriate choice, for an occasional treat?

Celtic, first of all I read your initial post and meant to say I'm glad to see another Canuk in here! I hope you are "enjoying" the cruddy weather we sent you Maritimers from Ontario.

Rather than post the nutritional information, please post the actual ingredients in the shake mix so we can make an informed decision. It may be just fine. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome, I find the boards a great resource, and am not yet getting bored with the food choices, with so many great recipes. Nova Scotia is icy today......it has been a crappy January!

Ingredients: Milk protein concentrate, cocoa, whey protein isolate, skim milk powder, natural and artificial flfour, sea salt, xanthan gum, sucralose, silicon dioxide, acesulfame potassium

Celtic!

Looks fine, as long as "natural and artificial flfour" means "natural and artificial flavour" (in Canuckian...here we'd say "flavor" ). Sounds yummy!

Thanks Laurie - that's flavor it is NOT Flour - typing too fast! I am very excited about this seemingly indulgent treat, that is is beach friendly.

Your stats are an inspiration....and yes, I have read the book - I feel like at 42, I finally am ready to embrace this as a lifestyle change, not just halfheartedly. I hope I can keep up my mind-set, that is huge for me!

Celtic! 3FC (and the amazing members) has been a big help and inspiration to me. Hope it's helpful to you, too! So glad you read the book...I just don't think anyone can do SBD well without reading the book first.

Yay for mindset changes...I think that's the key.
