thinking of diners in our town, there isn't much other than salads sans dressing and any bread (croutons included). There is one diner that offers turkey burgers dressed with all the veggies that you can get either naked (no bun) or with a ww bun. It comes with sweet potato fries, but I've substituted other P1 appropriate veggies.

Most diners serve breakfast all day -- you could always do some scrambled eggs or a vegetable omelet. Skipping the toast, hashbrowns and bacon/sausage as well.

Without looking at a menu it's rather tough...what kind of healthy things do they offer?

Most restaurants have an assortment of veggies and lean meat choice or two. I bet you can also get a great salad -- without croutons. If your friends look at you funny, tell them how they are going to be lusting after you come summer when you wear your bikini.

Don't worry about what people will think when you're ordering healthy for yourself. You need to do what's best for you, and if right now that means choosing what some might thing as odd choices for dinner, then order those things. You'll be surprised at how supportive your friends will be if you share what you're trying to do. Good luck!!!!

I can understand the pressure.

Cobb salads (dressing on the side, just say you have to taste is first, lol) are generally better than the alternative. Lean steaks or grilled chicken with steamed broccoli works too.

What types of places are you going? Can you look up the menus ahead of time?

i love breakfast at diners, no matter what time of day it is. just order what you think is right for your current phase, and don't worry what they might think. they'll be too busy eating their own grub to worry about whats on your plate, and if they do pay any attention, they'll notice the healthy choices you've made, and nothing more.

As well....if they give a look or question it, I always let people know how much better I feel not eating sugar (and processed foods), and how much better I feel about myself. Most of the time, they're happy for me!
