Good morning.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I've been exercising and eating right since the 1st. I finally tried the peanut butter cup. It is so yummy.

Spaghetti squash sounds good. I went shopping yesterday and bought one, so that will be dinner tonight.

Zeff, sounds like you are doing great.

Hi to everyone.

Morning, girls..

I'm getting spoiled by having my mom here. She does everything.

I posted this same question in the phase 1 chick thread, but I wanted to get as much feedback as possible:

I'm getting ready to start SB to lose again, any ideas on what modifications I will need to make since I breastfeed? ahealthyme.com says that I need at least 1860 calories to meet my body's basic energy needs and since I'm breastfeeding, I can eat between 2500 - 3000 calories per day and still lose a bit of weight. I'm going to aim for 2500 and see how that goes - if it starts to affect my supply, I'll move it up a bit.

Hello all!

I got home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. Surgery went well, but I didn't react well to the anesthesia. Apparently I wanted to get out of bed immediately after surgery and it took 6+ people to keep me in the bed. As a result, I got to spend the night in the hospital.

I think I'm doing pretty well. I'm only taking Tylenol for pain and I'm able to get around a little. I'm still sleeping a lot though. I'll be back when I have more energy!

Happy Sunday. We are heading to my mom and dad's house for my birthday dinner in a bit. My mom masked me what kind of birthday cake I wanted. Cake?!? Yikes!! Typically I would pick angel food cake with chocolate frosting! Not anymore! I said, can we try a SF/low fat cream cheese cheesecake?? She said she would try! Yipee!!
We didn't go to Olive Garden for dinner last night. We tried... it was a 70 minute wait! Not with kids!! We ended up at a steak place with no wait. I had a crab cake and a salad. Not too far OP. We went shopping for new head phones. I got Sony ones meant for working out. They are earbuds with a stap. Goes on top of my head, also has rubbery covers on the earbuds. Hopefully this helps stop the slipping when I sweat. Gross I know! But I have to wear headphones and listen to music while working out and having them slip all the time is so annoying! We went to the New Balance store and I found new gym shoes. They didn't have my size, so they ordered them and should have them this week. Ouch! $150 for new shoes!! I didn't expect to pay this much!
I didn't get the espresso machine, yet. My actual birthday is tomorrow. We'll see if DH gets it or not. He said he had a different idea. If not, I'll pick it up for myself. I need those lattes!
Enjoy your Sunday!!
Zeff, take it easy coming back to SB. You aren't even 1week post-op girl!!

Murphy - Glad to hear you are home. Rest up.

Zeff - I'm not too sure I'd worry about it if I were you! I was always ten lbs below pre-pregnancy weight by nursing, and then gained it back when I stopped.

I bet if you just stick to the principles of the whole grains, dairy, nuts, etc, and eat when you're hungry, you'll be good! I know when I nursed, I used it as an excuse to eat BAD foods (go Ho-Ho's!!!), but that was before SBD!

I totally agree with TWYNN. Just follow the Phase 2 basics, eating balanced meals, wholegrains, and avoid sweets.

Whew! Got a call from the Pypers just as I was hauling out a monster roast to thaw. Freezing rain seems definite now so they won't be here for dinner. I've got taco bake, mealtloaf and stew on the go for the stash. All beef! I am going to cut back on beef in 2009 so those meals will probably still be in my stash in May!

Just filled the woodbox which will do me a few days and am going upstairs to piece some quilt backs for tomorrow's meeting which may be cancelled if we get the predicted ice crud. ** Sigh ** a quiet afternoon coming up with my furries and my other pet, my sewing machine.

In Alabama, if the weather folks even SAY the word 'snow' or 'ice', we go crazy. I think the milk industry has a pact with the news media that when sales are down, the weatherman says, "SNOW!", and we all go nuts racing for milk and bread. We get a couple dustings of snow every year. Usually, it's not even cold enough to freeze the roads when it snows. It's just some novel fun.

Zeff - I think sticking with a principles of phase 2 would be good but make sure you get plenty of dairy which will help with your milk supply. The extra calories are important. I wouldn't worry too much about the calories until he starts eating solids and nursing less. Right now the calories are important. Enjoy this time. I didn't get Brian fully weaned until he was 3 and I really think it is one reason we are so close.

Jenski - Happy Birthday! I've thought about making a chocolate cake for my birthday next Sunday but I think I'm going to skip it. I'd end up eating too much. Don is taking Brian and I out for dinner. If something looks good, maybe I'll get it and all three of us can share so I don't eat more than a few bites.

murphy - Rest up and regain your strength.

Me - Robert's books are in the storage unit now. It didn't take long with both Don and I moving them. I had my rear turnlight go out today but Don said he'd fix it. Just not sure when. He did agree to come with us to the District Scouting Dinner later this month. I hate driving in downtown Dallas and this way I don't have to. Yeah!!

Howdy Chickies!!!

I'm guessing I've missed tons in my vacation from the boards....and admittedly from SB.

First off...Zeff...congrats!!!!!! That's the biggest change I've noticed from just skimming the boards

I've been crazy busy with a crazy computer, so just kinda fell out of touch. I've spent all day cooking and preparing to reenter PH1 tomorrow. Going to step on the scale tomorrow to see what the damage is...and I am not looking forward to that...but it's a necessary evil to move forward! Still on the crazy dating scene....holy moly...i won't bore ya'll with the details...but there are certainly a variety of guys out there...and I seem to have a magnetic field surrouding me that brings in the crazies!! Like babies to the mothership perhaps..lol

Anyhow...just wanted to check in and say I'm Back!!!

Happy Sunday! Welcome back Mandy!

Happy Birthday Jen! And Barb, hope he fixes it sooner rather than later

As for me, my weigh-in after 2 weeks on Phase two was -11 pounds at 227.8 so I am happy. Haven't quite started Ph1.5 yet. I was going to have some brown rice pasta tonight but froze the meat for the sauce. Opps! But will have that, wait 2 days and see how the weight it. Then either have it again OR add an apple or something in.

Good times I don't want to go to work. I hate the Monday after long holidays especially when my whole office was out and I have to update them!

Have a good week everyone!

Jenn - Congrats on the weight loss... 11 pounds, that is awesome!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. My mom made us a wonderful dinner tonight. Pot roast with au gratin potatoes (DH loved those, I skipped them) and asparagus and whole wheat bread. We had a great salad and dessert was no sugar added ice cream and sugar free chcolate syrup! I'll take that over cake!

My dad set up his electric trains for DS and they spent the afternoon playing trains while mom and I made a blanket for DS. Great afternoon!!

The plan is to hit the gym tomorrow in the AM. 6am is going to come quick!
I stocked up on the spag squash tonight. I found that alfredo recipe for phase 1 on the recipe site that looks too good to pass up! I think I'll make the family spag tomorrow night and I am going to have the squash!

Hey everyone! I meant to come in and post this morning, but we had a lot going on today. The house is sparkly-clean, we both have shirts ironed for the week and the meals are all planned and prepped!

I'm really looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow. It was a little too boring at home this past week. I'm also excited because I'm moving to a more private desk area tomorrow morning. It should really help me focus more on managerial tasks instead of dealing with the public as much.

Well, I'm off to get tomorrow's work snacks packed! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
