sounds like you might actually be a bit under the weather, or maybe you are suffering food poisoning - have you eaten out lately? I don't think sb flu makes you vomit, it just makes you feel achy and tired. I know that for me, if I don't eat regularly, I get sick to my stomach to the point of nausea, but after I eat I feel better. so, just stick with the plan, don't skip snacks, eat beans and dairy, and plenty of veggies along with your protein, and I hope you feel better soon!

Joni, I had a bad hungry day when I was about at your point. Peanut Butter mixed with SF syrup got me through. Be strong! Go to bed early.

One question: Is cheese dairy or a protein on SBD?

kikilai - You don't have very much to lose so weight loss will be slower for you than for someone who has a lot to lose. Four pounds is great!

Menzy, cheese is a protein. That's why it's not listed with the dairy in the Phase I Food List.

Just a quick check-in here... I'm away from home helping to look after my dad through a surgery (he's fine, just a bit of a recovery period now!), totally out of my "comfort zone" and not minding SB ONE BIT.

I continue to marvel at the physiological changes in me. I just... don't have cravings anymore. I don't even think about food except when I'm actually hungry. There is no way to explain what a new experience this is for me -- you're listening to the girl who is known for her cookery far and wide! All I EVER thought about was food. So... WOW.

This diet is so adaptable to any situation. Even traveling, I was always able to find a vegetable juice, a hardboiled egg or two or a salad with grilled or broiled chicken.

I haven't gone off plan at all, and I can hardly believe I have only 2 days left before starting Phase II. I've become such a cheerleader that I gave my dad a copy of the book for an early birthday present -- he has a fair bit to lose, too! If I were any more jazzed, I'd be annoying. Yeah, yeah, I know.

I'm not a scale-crawler, though I did for the first time ever buy one so I could chart my progress because I think there will ACTUALLY BE SOME. I weighed before I left last Tuesday and I'll weigh when I get home next Tuesday. I'll be very interested to see what the second week of Phase I has wrought!

Hope everyone else is doing well, too!!

All the best,

Rae

raebeaR, Wow! We love to hear stories like yours and I'm so happy that you are finding this plan so easy to follow! I'm glad your dad's surgery went well and hope he has a speedy recovery.

djmommy, congratulations on your weightloss! Make sure you transition into Phase 2 slowly, adding new foods one at a time. We have a great sticky in the FAQs that will explain in detail how to do this, and you'll discover that it's not so scary after all. Good luck!
