Lori - would it be possible for you to rent your place if you take this job? At least until you feel sure about the job.

-

I just had to call the highschool that DH is moonlighting at and leave a message for him....I would be extremely surprised if he got it. They had no idea who he was, when he taught...anything. DH took my credit card last night and didn't replace it! I need gas and I don't know if any places will take checks. He's lucky he isn't home now.

Good morning all!!! Happy Hump day!!!

Cottage - A nice relaxing day sounds good. I hope the evening appointment doesn't go too long.

Cyndi - Working from home is a luxury I can only imagine. I hope you're able to use your pto days for fun stuff as well. Hope the appointment w/ DP goes well.

Loriann - Snow sounds fun. I've never been in snow, so I'm always intrigued. Think really hard if you're going to take this new job. I'd say pray about it for a while.

Noemi - Hope you got out to walk the girls. Cool weather is good for a brisk walk. Have fun at the new grocery store!

Zeff - Enjoy your time w/ your mom in town. Have fun!

Kim - Sounds like your exercising is going to pay off. It's nice that you have found some friends to walk with you during your lunch time.

Weezle - Hooray for donations. Always comes in handy for tax season. Have fun at volleyball tonight!

Laurie - Tag team pet parents is better than no parent home. Have fun at choir tonight. Are you getting ready for the Christmas concert???

Gonnabe - Look at you, hot mama!!! Did you cut your hair??? I love it!

Me - Had a good day yesterday, and talked myself into getting up and exercising this morning. I'm having a really hard time staying motivated. I know it's just a stage and I need to get over it, but wow I need to get off this justification wagon. It's doing me no good. Very excited about the weekend. "Spring Awakening" has finally come to town and we've got tickets for Sunday's matinee. I've been wanting to see it since it won all those Tony Awards. Can't wait, and I have a great dress to wear. Very excited!!!
Didn't get to laundry last night as dh had softball, so tonight we wash!
Have a great day, everyone!!!
BLESSINGS!!

Good morning everyone,

Cottage- Sounds cold up there- have a good day and be safe on the roads

Cyndi- Glad to hear that your job is flexible enought that you can take 1/2 days.

Lori- That would be a tough decision to sell your house, what if it is not a good fit for you. Cody the description of the name does fit well then. I think we are going to get DS an old F150 for him to drive and leave the 66 Mustange for pleasure driving only.

Ohana- hope you enjoy the nice weather you have

Zeff- Hopefully they will take a check so you can get gas

Gonna- You look great in that outfit hope you had a good time

Kim- Glad to hear that you are starting to workout with officemates that is always helpful

Weezle- hope the little guy is doing better- any word on the job?

Beachgal- Have a good day today

Hopefully I haven't forgotten anyone- As for me- today is wfh and then have to run DD to get her cell phone replaced and perhaps tonight do a test drive of the F150 we are considering get DS- I may list the Blazer on EBay and see what happens- need to get rid of it.

Have a great day everyone and stay warm! I am bit chilly hehe

Um.... No. Here come the excuses. DH and I got into a stupid fight last night, I was so mad that I went downstairs to watch TV. I ended up staying up WAY TOO late, then fell asleep on the couch and didn't get to bed until 3:30. When the alarm rang at 5am, there was no way! And I am so close to my Oct goal!! A little exercise might be all I need!! I'll try to get on my treadmill tonight once the kids are in bed... Hopefully I can turn things around Thursday and Friday morning and end the month on a high note. I dropped the ball completely on my Oct exercise goals!!

I made yogurt in my crockpot last night. It is currently in the sink filtering thru coffee filters right now. I couldn't help myself and had some for breakfast. Not bad. It is plain, I didn't add any sweetners to it yet, so I tried adding a little SF jelly to it for some flavor. Much better. I am so proud of myself for making homemade yogurt!

Zeff - enjoy time with your mom. Let her take care of you for a while, enjoy the attention!

GonnaBe - your costume looks so cute!!

Loriann - sounds like a tough decision with the job. Maybe renting would be a good idea.

Lisa - another massage?!? Lucky girl!

Pumpkin chili... I am going to have to look into this one!

Red face Cold!!

Cottage -

We had snow flurries here last night in Central Mass, and they are calling for some more later today. The winds were awful this morning. Made for a chilling morning at the bus stop, and walk around the neighborhood after wards. Needless to say I've been warming up to coffee all morning

Jenny - RE: the yogurt. There are two ways that we really enjoy eating it - the first is with pureed fruits mixed in and the second, with fruits and honey on top(sometimes granola as well). It also is awesome for baking - I've found that replacing oil/butter in baked goods with applesauce sometimes lent to a dry cake - but when I replace it with yogurt it is nice and moist! I'm glad it turned out for you!

I'm definitely going to let my mom take care of me for awhile - We're planning to go shopping for all the things that I never buy myself She knows me too well.

DH ran into some problems with one of his dissertation committee members - apparently they know nothing of the math that he is writing about and they are recommending a lot of it get changed....meanwhile, the rest of the committee members are experts in the topic and are saying that it stay the same....there has been a LOT of arguing. Unfortunately, the man who doesn't know the math isn't really on most people's good sides and often has a chip on his shoulder....I really hope that chip doesn't come back to bite DH in the arse. DH is really upset about it and was absolutely freaking out last night. I know he really wants to talk to his Dad - but FIL is MIA....bad timing. He is meeting with the rest of the committee today to make a final decision on the subject. Cross your fingers for a good report - this has been his entire life for the past 3 years and I know he would be absolutely crushed if it didn't turn out right just because someone gets embarrassed because they don't know enough on the topic.

Loriann- Maybe you can give the pup to a friend or family member until he gets older? Or until you decide on this new job?

Kim- I'm in San Antonio. We did have ice (DID WE HAVE ICE!!!) in 2005, but it wasn't long-lasting or anything. It was pretty bad though because we couldn't drive anywhere. And I worked nights back then...had to drive home on black ice. I think I drove about 5-10 mph for 20 miles.

I'd love to be in Florida though, and after my son finishes high school, we're probably going to move to Orlando...the land of Mickey and close to all beaches!

Awww, my hometown! I moved from there in 2001 to go to college and haven't lived there since. A lot of my family are still there, though. Both sets of grandparents, my big sister and my cousin are all still there. DH and I spend part of every other Christmas there and I go to visit a lot in between!

During the snow storm I was at work in Kingsville and DH was at his family's ranch in George West. Him and his stepdad came in a truck to get me and it took 2 1/2 hours to drive what usually takes us 45 minutes! I was so happy to see the ranch that night. (For a while it looked like I would be spending Christmas morning alone at the house we were renting since it really was blizzard conditions and I knew I wasn't prepared to drive back to the ranch alone!)

Ah, Ice storms, there was one in 89 when I gave birth to my son, entire town was closed down and my ex couldn't come to take me and baby home due to no power.... then again a few years ago, so bad it came through the ceiling and roof, had to replace both! YIKES!

OK, I have an interview today at 3, not sure about this one, will see. And I just got a c all from someone I already interviewed for. They want their accountant to interview a couple people and I am one of them. He said of all their candidates I am definitely their favorite. What's weird, he asked, me, stressed, ":PLEASE, COME DRESSED CASUALLY!" He says its end of year and he will be casual and doesn't care if I'm all spiffed up, but rather interested in what I can offer as far as talent! LOL.... cool. But you all know me, I'll still dress for the occassion... unless he's testing how I take directives???????????

Lori - good luck with the interview, this does sound promising!! Dress business casual, then you'll be in the middle.

I am hooked on yogurt. I have had my second cup already, this time with blueberries. My mind is racing at what I can mix into it. I am going to try some pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices next, probably this afternoon! :-)

I am in the middle of making popcorn hands for DD's Halloween party tomorrow. What a pain!! They gave me these hand shapped bags, the fingers are too small for popcorn, so I had to crush it a little (useful right?). Then they wanted me to slip a spider ring on the ring finger. Yeah, ring is so small, I have to crush the popcorn even more to squeze it on. I ripped a finger off already, and they gave me exactly enough for the class! So I had to tape it back on. This task stinks. I couldn't make it to the planning meeting, and got stuck with the leftover tasks no one wanted. The kids aren't going to eat these!! My tomorrow this popcorn is going to taste nasty. Oh well, doing it for the kids!

Lori - Go with business casual. If you've got a good fitting dark pair of jeans, go with those and a nice shirt. Good luck!

Jen - With the spider rings, cut the back of them, then slip them on the finger after it's full. should be easier
