cyndi- I used 2 of the boca bratwurst cut in slices and then I cut up about 4 of the morningstar links and it was great! I think the brats probably flavored it more but it may have been the bay and thyme too...!

Hi chicks, I'm back! Just wanted to pop in and say "hi." We got in late last night and I've been unpacking and doing laundry all day. It's nice to have the weekend to get settled back in before work or school. We had a fantastic time, I'll post some pix later when I get them downloaded. Or is it uploaded in this case?
Anyway, I am proud to say that I mostly behaved myself and just had a few treats here and there, but mostly made good choices. I was happy to find that it was possible to have good beachly food at WDW. I was a little worried I'd be eating Chicken Ceasars all week and the kids would be eating only nuggets, burgers, and french fries. With all the walking, I think I maintained. I weighed in this morning and the scale says the same as when I left, but I am hoping some of it is water because I had some salty stuff the last couple of days. I am pushing the water this weekend, and as soon as I grocery stop, it's back on Phase I to kick things back into gear. DH will be home in a few weeks, and I'd love to drop a few more lbs by then!
Well, I'll catch up as soon as I can. Anything exciting happen while I was gone?

Welcome home, Schmoodle! I'm happy you had such a great vacation and did so well, eating-wise. I'm looking forward to your pictures!

Cyndi, I bought some Morningstar breakfast sausages to use in that lentil soup, but if you or Rikki have a veggie sausage you recommend, please let me know!

sophie, your comment about helping your DH find things in the kitchen struck home with me and made me laugh. You could have been describing my DH to a T! I hope your curry was delicious!

I hope everyone had a great day, and that Ruth and Disney are all safe and snug at home.

The grandkids kept me hopping today, but we had a good time. We all decided to go to Max & Erma's for supper since I couldn't get a thing done with them here, though. I had a glass of Riesling with a black bean burger and mixed greens salad. It was a pleasant way to end the day.

Good morning. I'm home and really tired. Disney just about wiggled out of her skin when I picked her up at the kennel. Silly girl may have thought she was back in a shelter and that I was gone forever!

Right now I need coffee and then to polish up the report I need to present in Church in an hour so will see y'all later.

Good morning and Happy Sunday! I also want to add a "Happy Birthday" to my DD, Monica, as today is her birthday. " Enjoy your special day, Sweetie, and I love you." I know she reads in here occasionally. One day soon she is going to join us again.

We had a busy day yesterday, so I'd like to take it easy today. I think Jake wants to go up to the Reading Outlets to look for some new shirts, though. I also want to work in a visit to Mom & Dad, and do a bit of make ahead meals for the coming week this afternoon.

Enjoy your day and make someone smile!
------------------------------------------------------

Good morning, Ruthie, I'm passing you a cup of really good coffee to help you start your day. Try to get some rest today.

Thanks, Cottage. The report is polished and now I need to polish myself and the coffee will help.

It's foggy right now but is going to be a sunny day. I may get the pine needles raked up this morning after Church. This afternoon will be a nap day after my 1:30 teleconference and then Disney and I will go visit Harry.

It's good to be home although I think I left my extra set of car keys at the hotel in Kingston. Grrr!

Good morning Ruth & Cottage I've got a fresh pot on and it smells marvelous

Ruth - Welcome back! I missed seeing you in the mornings. Bet Disney did even more

Cottage - Every time you go to Reading I think you're going to a huge book outlet and I get excited and start planning trips there. Then I remember
Happy birthday Monica!

Schmoodle - Everyone is back this weekend So glad you had a good time and can't wait to see the pictures!

Kim - I have veggie chorizo and now I'm thinking about your breakfast yesterday

I'm trying to organize another crazy day. How can there be sooo much to do on weekends? Yesterday I ran 10 trays in the dehydrator, prepped a fresh pumpkin for puree, made Breakfast Bars, made really yummy seitan, stew in the crockpot, went to the farmer's market & the grocery store... Today I am making refried black beans in the crockpot, vac seal the week's jars, making the now famous pumpkin bread, doing some yard work, rotating more clothes (cold out, warm in), picking apples, drying apples, doing laundry....Blah!

If anyone is interested in making those breakfast bars with protein powder I tweaked the base recipe a little more and they are really good this time. I'm going to make my daughter a big batch because she relies on protein bars (working in a hospital leaves limited time for big meals so protein bars and fruit often have to work).

Well, better get things going here. Have a good day Chicks

Quick run by for me.....I'm trying to find a good recipe to bring to a church lunch this afternoon. I have about two hours to find one and get it baked.

Everybody have a great day!

Good morning all! Happy Sunday!!!

Actually almost got everything done yesterday. I did not have time to get my feet done....hopefully next weekend! Had a great time with our friends last night. We cooked out which was nice and inexpensive. Not too bad for me, I did have a piece of cornbread. Today after church a big group....mom, sister, dh, and friend, are headed to a giant craft fair in Long Beach. Dh and I went last year and it was a blast. Told everyone about it after and now they all want to go. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it's as good as we remember. Then it's over to Mom's for dinner. Should be a great day!!!

Schmoodle - Welcome back!

Ruth - Welcome back home!!!

Cyndi - Love the new avatar!!!

ENJOY!!!

Good morning! LITTLE GUY IS HOME!!!!! He was tiiiiiiiiired yesterday, poor kiddo. But he's safe and sound, and already looks better than he did when we got him back.

I did my shopping at VS online yesterday and got mega deals. I got a pair of boyshort undies and 4 sweaters for $76.00, then got the tote purse free, and also the 3-pack of lipgloss free as well since I bought a sweater. Hot diggity daffodil!

Well, just kind of lazying around today. Think I'm going to finish my tea and then start on (sigh) the dishes. Hope everyone has a good day!

Lorianne, congrats on getting that temp position!

Ruth, hope you have a nice day and that get some time in there for yourself as well to take a little rest.

Zeff, when we moved here, my kitties would not come out from under the bed for a whole week! lol The poor things were so scared. They are in 7nth heaven now basking in the sun by the windows and entertained by all the birds and little chipmunks running around : ).

Cyndi, you sound very busy indeed and organized! I'm totally new to the crockpot scene, I have always been cooking via the oven and burners and am excited to use the crockpot. It will be fun experimenting with it and I will def. be checking out some ideas and recipes here : ).

Heather, the craft fair sounds awesomeeee! I just love those! Have a great time : ).

Weezle, lol@ hot digitty daffodil Sounds like you got yourself some great deals, congrats on your new stuff : ).

Femme, miss your presence in the threads. How is everything going on your end? Hope all is well.

As for me ladies, it's a lazy Sunday here. I'm glad I got all those errands done. DH is out there doing fall chores as usual, hope he quits soon...that guy needs some rest! We plan to take a drive later on and a walk which we both enjoy a lot. Hope you all have a great day

No problem. Glad it worked out for you. I couldn't believe it myself. LOVE my floors when they are clean now!

I am still suffering from this darn tooth business. The pain is gone, so is the tooth. But I think the infection is kicking my butt! I am on a lot of antibiotics, but it is still lingering. Yesterday I was so tried and achy and weak with a small fever. I could barely stand. I would try to do something around the house and would have to lay down. It took every ounce of energy to get from upstairs to downstairs. Good news is I have more energy today, but I now have Saturdays to-do list to add to Sunday's to-do list! I hate losing a day... but losing a Saturday?!? DH took the kids to my brother's for a football game so I could have a few hours of peace and quiet to get some work done. Then I am off to the grocery store to try to prepare for next week! I'll be glad when all this is behind me!
Happy Sunday!

Hi chicks, still not caught up. Hope everyone is well.
Thanks for the welcome home!
Today is getting caught up on makeup homework, but DD also had to work the Girl Scout Booth at the Trolley Festival, so we went up there for a few hours. Now back to work, and I still haven't gotten to the grocery store, since I slept in this morning. Monday is coming too fast!
