They are natural which makes it so much more heartbreaking. My day is just going to heck now! :D

Good morning all!!! Happy hump day!
Ruth - Glad to hear that Hershey found a friend. Good luck at the dentist! Cat - Hope the puppy incident wasn't too big of a mess. I think your son and my dh are also related. Very intelligent man, my husband, but he's prone to forgetting things....like keys in a car and ATM cards in the ATM. But I love him!!! Cottage - Feel better, sweetie! Be sure to drink lots of liquid, even if it hurts!!! Nessa - Good luck at the weigh in tonight. I'm sure your number will be great!!! Cyndi - Enjoy your day, sounds splendid! Loriann - Your kitty stories are fun. I'm sure Honey and Jade will start to figure out co-habitation soon. Twynnb - Have fun with your trainees today!!! Enjoy your time in FL. Schmoodle - Saying prayers for your dh's safety. Hope the rash goes away soon. Zeff - LOVE planning parties! Hope you're able to get some fun stuff in for dh's 30th! KO - Black bean soup on a cold morning I'm sure is really yummy. Laurie - Enjoy your meeting tonight! Stephanie - I also did a new routine this morning......isn't it amazing how a few changes can really make a big difference!!! Hope the nail isn't too bad. Me - Biggest Looser was good last night. That week 2 is tough! Had yummy sloppy joes so I was in a very comfy mood last night. Today at work I have to drive out for a meeting that's an hour a way. I'll be off campus most of the day. It'll be a nice break. Not much going on tonight. I'll probably make some phone calls to figure out what we're doing this weekend. Hoping to get together with some friends. Have a great Wednesday, ladies!!! Can you believe we're already half way through the week!!! ENJOY!!!!! |
Twynne, I hope you have a nice trip to Florida and don't fly into the Nor'Easter that's headed our way!
Schmoodle, sorry to hear about your rash. Since you were picking tomatoes, I wonder if you are allergic to the leaves? I know I always get an itchy rash from tomato plants. I hope it clears up soon! Good morning, Zeff! Any exciting plans for today? Laurie! I know! It seems several of us are complaining of sore throats since the weekend. Maybe I can't blame it on my girlies afterall! I'm drinking jasmine green tea and chamomile tea. It's helping some. I just went to the store for some of those new Herbal Sucrets, too. You're lucky to have only gained from water and muscle weight after all the Food Porn we enjoyed! I'm not even going near a scale! KO, I just made a crockpot full of Turkey Pumpkin Soup. I think it will hit the spot tonight! Stephanie, you just reminded me that I want to look into yoga classes. I sure don't know when I'm going to find time to attend a class, though, with my crazy schedule. A broken nail! I hate when that happens! |

Heather, I love party planning as well. I really have to start concentrating on how on earth I'm going to make the cake that I have planned in my head. I got DH hooked on Biggest Loser last night - he whined at first, but I told him with everything that he monopolizes the television with...that I should be allowed just one reality show per season. He shut up and was pretending to read a book....but sure made a lot of comments for "not paying attention". ;)
Cottage, it depends on what you would call exciting. I have a load of laundry going and another just coming out of the dryer...I know, huh? Living the fast life. I do have to go to Target to pick up a birthday gift for a 4 year old at some point today...Also, Big Lots has some cute fall and halloween decor, so I'm going to swing by. -- I asked this the other day. I'm looking for a good family movie for our movie night this week. It doesn't have to be animated or new, but it has to entertain a 2 and 4 year old - plus a 35 year old man who refuses to watch "kids movies" ;) Anybody have any ideas? |
Nessa depends on how bad the break is, as luck would have it this one isn't to bad and won't require chopping them all off and starting fresh. I have really strong nails and always have, I get alot of compliments on them.
Cottage yoga is my absolute favorite, I would never be able to take a class as our local gym offers them at such strange hours that just don't work with my work schedule. Thank goodness for on demand and Inhale on the Oxygen network! ETA: Zeff Have you seen Robots? I think it is a cute movie with enough humor to keep adults happy and excitment for the wee ones. |

RE: movies.
We just watched Milo and Otis a few weeks ago. I love that movie. I'll look into Balto - DH suggested All Dogs Go To Heaven Robots might be a possibility as well - DS loves his Robots book. |
oy small kids.. big men... Cars? Rattatoulli?
old movies? chitty chitty bang bang? |
I LOVE Meet The Robinsons. I even cried at the end! :-)
My kids love Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (The old version, not the new freaky version!!), The Cat in the Hat (with Mike Meyers - even has adult comedy in it, over the kids heads), any of the Shrek movies, Toy Story, Madagascar and the one I highly recommend for this situation - Night at the Museum. We watch a lot of movies, can you tell? Probably helpful to post that my kids are 3 and 6, so not too far off your target ages. Jenny |
One of DS's favorites when he was small was The Iron Giant. We all enjoyed it, even DH, it's really good. We also loved All Dogs Go To Heaven. Robots is good.

My son loves the Iron Giant too!! We took it out at the library this summer.
So I had a reality check this week that has had me bummed since. Monday night I went for a bike ride with my 6 yr old son. He wasn't in a baby seat on the back of the bike... he wasn't on his big wheel... he wasn't in the stroller.... he was riding his bike next to me, and I was working hard to keep up with him (his energy is CRAZY!!). That is when it hit me. He is old enough for us to go on bike rides together. Not a toddler/preschooler anymore. Yeah, I know he is 6, this has been happening for a while now... but the reality of just how old he really is, hit me on that bike ride! I'm such a sap! I know they say it goes fast... but I feel like it zipped right by! :-( I'm getting old!! LOL :o |
oh i love the old willy wonka... dh is creeped out by the ooompa loompas
what about mary popins? |
Blah.. I'm up 2 pounds today. WTF?
