Cat hoping you have a smoother day today.

Loriann Good luck with the interview!

Ruth I think I vaccumed up an entire new dog lastnight. Suddenly my two males have taking to, how shall we say nicely, take pleasure in each other. I think I am going to hang them both!

Mandy sending good work vibes your way.

Belle to you for your 2 meals out today.

Cottage wishing you a peacful day.

Cyndi Hope all goes well at work today. for the vacation time!

Twynn sometimes just setting the example is enough to give them the extra push they need, hope your co-worker takes some hints from you for a sucessful try at SB.

Schmoodle You'll find that wii fit, check smaller wal-marts if you have any near, that is where I ended up finding mine, people tend to forget to look there.

Nessa We love you too!

Alright much like schmoodle I take time at work to ease into my day by coming here and now my time is done! Have a great day ladies!

I woke up at my usually time, went to the restroom and promptly went back to sleep. i cannot wait for my vacation to start. Needless to say, I'm now running a bit late and only have time for a quick check in.
Things are going well over all, gonna get some laundry done tonight and if I get off work early....like I should...I will force myself to at least walk a mile with WATP.
Loriann - Good luck with your interview! I'm sure it will go great!

Have a good hump day, ladies!
ENJOY!!!

morning, girls!

sorry for the lack of personals lately....know that I read them all and wish you all happy days

Today, the family is headed to the beach with Grandma. DS has never been in a lake before, so he should have a good time. Afterwards, we're grilling ribs and getting some clothes washed for our little mini-vacation in a vacation (we're going up to Lake Superior and along the North Shore)

Before the beach, DH and I are going to take a walk to a nearby coffee shop and then to a used bookstore.

Hi you guys,

hope everyone is doing well. I had a lot of fun at Grandma's yesterday, she kept remarking on how inquisitve my son is and how smart she thinks he is (she's biased, but, it's true! hehe)

some of you may remember my concerns about going to Grandma's house yesterday, because she likes to make subtle comments about people's weight... well yesterday she was actually complimenting me instead, told me I was looking good and then told me mom shouldn't lump me in with her because mom is bigger than me! *callous, cold snigger* (I will rejoice in this privately, I will not tell my mom this, don't wanna hurt her feelings. But I will take some pleasure in it because she likes to mention how skinny my sister is and we are the big ones. I'd probably be skinny too if I had a White Girl & pill habit and an aversion to food)

Also Grandma asked me what size pants I was wearing and when I refused to tell her out of embarrassment, she did a guestimate and the guestimate was smaller than what I'm actually wearing. Yay!

The only bad part was when she caught me at a vulnerable moment and wouldn't take no for an answer about serving us dinner, (we had come right after they had eaten which I thought would PREVENT Grandma from feeding me, because that's what she likes to do, but no, Grandma would not be deterred). We had a plate of rigatoni and italian sweet sausage and spaghetti sauce, and sigh, asiago bread. With butter. All very delicious. Which is bad for me because I'm craving that bread right now and none of that food was SBD compliant.

HI ALL. OK, the interview I believe went well. He wants to interview 3 to 4 people before making a decision. But before the interview they gave me a math test. I felt like i was in third grade with addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. I asked my score she said "you are the only person to ever get 100! (WHAT? this test and only one perfect score? WOW!) thats not to be boastful, but rather unbelief... it was basic simple math! Anyway, I'm hoping to hear back from them with an offer. I really liked all the people, even the owner, the boss! And it's a management position with three employees answering to me!

So I have a friend that works across the street from this company so called him about lunch. he said it was too early (11). so I asked where to take the car in for inspection and oil change. I went and came out 5 hours later and $500 poorer. It needed two new tires, front end alignment, and brakes! OUCH!!!! I'm a bit saddened because there goes the couch I was gonna pick up! I'm still giving my couch to my friend but keeping the love seat. I have two chairs I can put out in the living room with the love seat. She needs the couch (six kids two adults and company 24/7). Her blue one is very uncomfortable! Mine is... sit in it and fall asleep comfortable! You "sink" into it! Should I ever get a different couch she'll be given the love seat as well.

Anyway, you all asked me to keep you abreast of the interview! Please pray... I really would love this position!

Hi girls. It's finally over. This morning was pretty rough, and I'm 100% wiped out. Didn't sleep last night, had prayers at the funeral home early this morning, then mass, then the service at the cemetary.

After that we all ate lunch together, about 50 of us, and I came home, changed, and went to Grandma's to help go through some stuff. Looks like I'm getting her gold wiener dog pin, a dvd, her couch, and her car. Total blessings, as the couch I have is the one my grandparents bought in 1969, gave to my parents when they got a house, and my parents gave me when I moved out. Plus, my 91 Corolla is not much more than scrap metal, so getting her car is a true blessing as well.

I'm so tired I can't even think straight. I peeled the label off of my beer at lunch (it said "peel here") and I won a t-shirt. Hot diggity daffodil. Gonna go claim my prize online and try to stay awake until bed time.

Thanks again for all the prayers and happy thoughts. Love you girls.

Thanks Lori, and prayers about the job prospect! I'm sure you aced the interview, and honestly, why wouldn't they hire the only person smart enough to get 100% on the math?

I once impressed the staff of a job placement company by setting the record for typing - 102 wpm with 2 errors (that I'd corrected but they counted them anyway.) Instead of wanting to place me someplace else, they started interviewing me to work for them! I ended up turning the job down because my current boss is just way too cool, but hey. I know the feeling of disbelief.

So I'm sure they'll hire you! Many prayers your way!

Good evening Chicks

So my day was productive. The morning was exhausting but kind of fun and the rest of the day was in high gear vacation prep. I have one of those jobs that just piles up when I'm on vacation, so the more I can get done ahead the easier it will be when I get back. Still it will be so worth it to have two full weeks away!

Loriann - Of course I forgot how far Route 20 goes. Looks like you're about an hour+ further West than I'm going. I do know the area well though. I went to SU long, long ago. I'm stopping at 12 in the land the internet forgot. I will probably be closer around the holidays. I often pick my daughter up in either Caz or Fayetteville from her grandmother's.

Twynn - Congrats on the three month loss! Yeah, the B word is a forbidden topic around here too.

Ruth - It's nice to know we have a place to visit in Canada. I've certainly threatened to move there often enough in recent years

Schmoodle - I'm the same way in the morning - gotta have my internet. We were so pathetic when our internet went down - couldn't figure out what to do with ourselves. The campground we're going to has wireless. It's amazing how many do now!

Nessa - Glad to hear Bagel is improving.

Pacer - Hope today was an easier, and shorter, day

Gonna - A new video to add to my list! I'm off to check Netflix after this

Heather - how many days until your vacation?

Zeffryn - Sounds like you're having a nice visit I looooove used bookstores. I've turned a 4 hour drive into 7 by stopping at every used bookstore along the way. I'm not quite as bad now (ran out of bookshelves!)

Melanie - Sounds like that affirmation is just what you need to get back on track. It's nice to have those little reminders along the way.

Loriann (again!) - Thinking of you and hoping this one is the right one!

Weezle- Hope you have some well deserved down time planned. Take good care of you.

Okay, that's it Chicks. I'm off to read Beck and maybe even another book since it's actually a reasonable hour!! Have a good night
