So nice to see the Phase I chickies pecking in to this part of the Beach Coop!
We'll now sing three verses of Getting To Know You! Drat! I shouldn't have said that because I'll now have an ear worm for the day.

My quiet and carless day yesterday was just great! I even took dear Hershey for a walk. Her nose is slightly out of joint over the attention little Disney is demanding - and getting!

It's raining a bit this morning and my umbrellas are in the car that's at the garage! Duh! I plan to walk to Church wearing my Gor-Tex coat which does not exactly make a fashion statement! i won't be able to go to Obedience Class this afternoon unless I borrow Rob's car which I hate to do because it's kind of rickety. I guess we'll work on training at home. Quilting and reading and chili-making are on the schedule too.

I hope your Sunday is restful and productive.

busy day yesterday for me lots of shopping... we went to the library but i could not find books on swimming that i wanted so i ended up at the book store. weight training for dummies and a book on swimming for fitness are now in my possession.

i also got very fancy smcmancy water fitness shoes... they look just like real sneakers. they velcro shut... I got a counter for laps for the pool too... it's metal so i put it in a plastic ziploc bag which i put inside a bigger ziploc bag. I just need it by the edge of the pool so i can click it to keep track of my laps...

DH went racing last night (to watch) today is the company picnic retirement party for his mom.... and it's gonna rain. oh damn. of course his boss has a WII maybe I can try it....

i want to get to the gym this morning... thinking I should do cardio and muscle class but more likely i'll just swim...

and the phospo-soda for my test on Friday. did I mention i'm having a colonoscopy.

Ugh, Nessa. You reminded me that I have my colonoscopy scheduled in two more weeks.

Good morning, Ruth. I hope you are getting all rested up on your carless weekend.

I spent a very pleasant, although quiet, day yesterday just hanging out at home. Looks like it's going to storm all day today, so I just plan on getting the laundry done and visiting my parents. I did a lot of cooking yesterday, so if anyone stops by, I have plenty of leftovers to feed them.

We're off to breakfast for now, with a stop at Home Depot afterwards. I hate walking around in there, I'd rather look at clothes!

Glad to hear everyone is having a nice weekend.

Nessa -- Good luck with that colonoscopy -- no fun!

We ended up spending most of the day at the pool with friends yesterday -- it was really nice. Then we had our friends for pizza last night! (I did get wheat crust). It was a splurge for me! And the kids ran and ran in the backyard and played on the swingset. It was one of those long, perfect summer days in the sun.

And now of course everyone wants to go back to the pool again today! But, I should really get to the grocery store and do my cooking and freezing for the week...but if it is sunny and nice it sure would be more fun to go swim!

Well, everyone hope you have a nice sunday!

Had a good day yesterday. It was definitely Phase 3 instead of Phase I, but handled family politics well, and I enjoyed everything I ate. My brother cooked chicken with a creamy rice/carrot sauce mixture and had a pasta salad side dish. I ate all the chicken, but only two bites of the rice/carrot mix, and one of the pasta. (In my family, you either take at least one bite of everything or you don't eat at all. To do otherwise is an insult to the person cooking. My mother disapproves of the SBD, and since I knew I couldn't convince her otherwise (she doesn't listen), I didn't mention it.) My brother's girlfriend also make chocolate chip cookies. I ate her "oops" cookie, it was really small (oreo size) where the rest were 4" in diameter. It was really, really good, but sweet and I took my time eating it. But I stopped at just the one, instead of going back for a second, third and fourth. The rest of my family snacked on pretzels, corn chips, carrot coins, chocolate chip cookies and a couple bags of chocolate and I left it all alone.

I was a bit hungry after dinner, but I attribute that partly to my lunch. I had a ton of veggies (half of a gallon ziploc full) as I drove up, but had no sauce/dip with them so they weren't as satisfying as they could be. So I ate a yogurt when I came home, and when I got really hungry at eleven pm, I drank six ounces of milk. Breakfast and morning snack were right on plan.

Ick, nessa and cottagebythesea (which I keep reading as cottagetheresa), those colonoscopies don't sound fun. Hope they go well!

Regarding the Wii, I adore mine.

Today it is time to work on the house - after I fill in the mudhole where my two pups dug up the end of the rain gutter tube. The only mud in my yard. A couple months ago, Winter came up to the house covered in mud, and I discovered he had dug up the sprinkler line because he could here it leaking (a valve broke - and he didn't do it); so when Summer came up covered in mud I feared the worst, but found the hole. She was clean for eleven hours. At least with Sammies, you can put them in their crates until they dry and the mud just flakes off, and they appear clean again.

Got to go, they just broke out of the dog run!

on board, briezee! I don't think I've officially welcomed you yet. It's funny how some people see my username as Theresa, you're not the first. Most just refer to me as "cottage". I love your avatar, my brother had Samoyeds, and they are beautiful dogs!

It was supposed to be stormy today, but the sun is out and it's turning out to be a gorgeous day. Monica and the girls are headed out for the day, along with Caite's boyfriend, and they're hoping to get in the pool. We got Carley a cute inflatable dragon floatie, I can't wait til she sees it. I hope Amber is over her sore throat so they can come over, too. Good thing I have lots of yummy leftovers to feed them.

Good Afternoon chicks. A pretty quiet sunday afternoon for now. I am just sitting here enjoying the sound of nothing. DH is having a nap and youngest dd is upstairs watchin a movie and oldest dd is at work. I have a grad bbq for dd's boyfriend this afternoon and then off to pick her up from work deliver her back to the bbq and then dh and I are off to visit friends. Other than that not much going on. Hope you all enjoy the last moments of the week end.

Hi chicks, hope you all had a great, on-plan weekend, mine just whiz-banged past. My brother and I got together with our calendars Saturday to decide when we could have a birthday celebration for our parents, and the only day that worked out for us all was today. So I threw together a BBQ for 20 and we had a nice time, but it took most of my weekend. but we did get to the pool for a while yesterday and to the movie on the green last night. I'll be in class all week, and I hope to pop in and say hi, but I'm sure I won't be around much. When I get home Friday afternoon I think we'll head to the beach for the weekend. Food is planned, shopping done, snacks packed for tomorrow, so I'm good to go! Hope you all have a great week.
