This weekend DH and I had a night to ourselves and decided to splurge. Well, Friday night led to Saturday night splurge so.... we have to start all over on Monday. I am really disappointed in myself but, DH said he was going to do P1 over with me so..... wish us luck!
nellagirl, don't think of it as starting over, think of it as picking up where you left off. We all have these moments of insanity (look at my mad smilies), it doesn't mean the end of the world if you just get right back to it. And take the opportunity to think about why you couldn't stay on plan and what you will plan to do differently the next time you are in that situation. This isn't Pass/Fail, it's a journey and a process and unfortunately this is something you need to learn from.
And by the way, why wait for Monday? Just get back on plan right now!
Schmoodle-Thankyou so much! I really needed that encouragement!
I would get started right now but, I have to go back to the grocery store and my 2 year old has a stomach virus so, if we eat anything he will want it and he can't have anything right now. Thanks alot!
That is extrememly true about the fact that its not a cut and dry thing with south beach. If you mess up one night, the next morning, you try again!!
...to sound hoaky: if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!
We can all do this!! Great job on getting back up very quickly!!
This kind of thinking is what leads people to fail miserably on diets. There is such a stigma to "diets". If you aren't completely 150% perfect, you *have* to start over. Talk about crappy. Who is going to want to continue on a diet that forces you to spend months on a supposed 2 week phase?
Everybody falls off the wagon sometimes. It is the people that are hardy enough to turn right around and jump back on that are going to succeed in plans like this.
Brush off and start where you left off at your next meal, and don't beat yourself up over this. Everybody does it, and with time, it will become easier to make the right choices without even thinking about it.
