Hello,
I'm a new member and wanted to introduce myself. I restarted South Beach 3 weeks ago and have lost about 9- 10 lbs. so far. I had been on South Beach 3 years ago and lost about 45 lbs. Then, we moved into a new home and with all of the painting and cleaning at the new place, pizza was the easiest way to feed everyone after a long hard days work ( especially because a pizza shop was right across the street... ) I fell into some of my old habits and never really got back on the plan. The weight slowly crept up on me and now I'm miserable.
I've been laid off of work this entire month because of seasonal slow down and decided it would be a good time to focus on myself again. Both of my parents are diabetic and I know I am playing with fire if I don't do something pretty darn soon. (Dad was type 1 and Mom is type 2)
I am really happy that I have found a support system here and I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

bbblue! You are wise to tackle this while you are young - it sure doesn't get any easier after menopause.
Are you planning to do Phase I? I am going to start a Phase I Starters/Restarter thread where we can all post for ideas and mutual support. Please join the other chicks.
