Default hi

Just a quick check in. My dh and I got back from a weekend away in Sun Valley and came home to all our kids, grandkids and dogs here. Wow, what a houseful. Anyway, everyone is finally gone and I'm up to my neck in housework and laundry.
Had a horrible snow storm over the weekend that downed trees and power. Snow is gone now and it's a beautiful fall day.
Hope you all are hanging in there!

Hugs

First push-ups and now snow, I'm learning a lot of new words today.

I used to live a lot further north, but since I moved to Florida 8 years ago I've gotten rid of all my winter clothes. I just realized that when we go home for Thanksgiving this year I'll need a winter coat and gloves. And probably some shoes that aren't open toed. Only thing I own now are sandals, my walking shoes, and a couple of pair of dressy boots.

My timing was good when I visited DH in the hospital today. First I got there as the nurse was doing his pre-lunch glucose test (235!) and then the infectious disease doctor showed up for the first time to see him. I was able to add more details of when some of his symptoms started and the fact that the rash has spread on his back more than when he was admitted. I liked the doctor. The dextrose solution that the vancomycin is in is probably elevating his blood sugar but he needs it. The doc said it is an MRSA so that is why the oral antibiotics didn't take care of it before. Looks like he'll be there another couple of days and then he'll have to see how it goes.

Hey gals! Just a quick check in. Our computer wouldn't turn on for the past few days so I've been lost in the dark ages. You don't realize how much you depend on it until it's not working! I've been doing great with my water goal and feel terrific about that. This week I've cut my calories to kind of get myself in the right mindset and I've been sticking to my plan perfectly, so I'm proud of myself for that. Next week's goal is going to be upping my exercise.

I'll try to get back on tonight if my computer co-operates! I miss you guys!
