It's getting harder and harder to get myself going in the mornings with it still being so dark outside, but at least I'm sleeping so much better.
I have to take the girls to school this morning, pick up groceries, pay bills, then after picking up Maggie, we're be spending the afternoon at a birthday party until it's time to get Audrey. After that, we have to go shopping for yet another birthday present for a party on Sunday. There'll be no time to get bored today!
How's your cold today, Ruth? And Cat, I hope your tummy troubles are better.
Still have the darn cold, Cottage. Took a cold capsule last night that kept me awake! I hate when that happens. It is one of those Day/Night meds and I thought I'd mixed them up but when I checked this morning, I took the night one.
We are starting sandwich making early this morning so I need to scurry. I was at the site for the Ploughing Match yesterday and had a wee tour from the Mayor via golf cart. It's huge site with entertainment tents, vendors, hospitality tents and even lots of ploughing - horse and tractor. I'm not good in crowds and the walking was terrible so I'm glad I'm working from home!
Time to feed and potty the Girls so I can get out of here before 7:30. See y'all later. ;wave:
Tummy is better. Immodium is a godsend. I'm going to attempt to go back to work this morning. I've never had it last that long (3 days!) and was getting worried it might be more than just a "bug"...(did I eat really bad lettuce in a bag?)
Nothing exiting happening here...well, yeah, I guess there is...we are waiting to see what that "thing" in the gulf is going to do. Headed in to watch the news in a bit and will pick up battaries etc just in case on the way home from school today. The weather here is just perfect...cool, but not cold. Late Sept. and October are the best months of the year here!

Good morning all. Finally, I've got a few minutes to post to everyone
Cottage: Have fun at the parties - you and the girls are 'social butterflies'
Ruth: I agree with you - I hate cold meds that keep me up at night. What I find more irritating though are the meds that knock me out for an hour or so, then I wake up! I'd rather get no sleep, instead of the 'teaser' sleep!
Cat: I'm glad your tummy is not fighting with you any more! I hope the 'thing' doesn't cause too much damage if it does turn into something more.
Me: Well, it's another day of "Hurry up and wait". We were supposed to release the new version of software 3 weeks ago, and I just found a HUGE bug yesterday... First it was wait for the hardware, and we finally got it yesterday, now it's this bug. Problem is that the developers for the software are in the UK, and the app that the software runs on, the developers for that are in Israel... and we test in NY... Gotta love it! NOT
Well, off to refill my water bottle, take my meds, get more coffee, and eat my new favorite breakfast bar "Cranberry Almond". It's one of those High Protein Cereal Bars from SBD and Kraft. It's probably my favorite of the 3.
Oh yeah!!! I forgot!!! I had another NSV this week. The boobs are shrinking!!! YEAH!!!!!! I can now fit into some bras I bought this spring with out trying them on - just going by the tag... the didn't fit, but now they do! AND, it took me about 45 min this morning to find something to wear over the bra. I have some "really SUPER fat" clothes which used to fit better, but now they just hang off of me, and make me look 'frumpy' - not a good look for the office. So, I had to go digging for my "really really fat" clothes - which are just T shirts, but they'll do till I'm smaller, and can get into my "really fat" clothes. I can't wait till I'm in just plain "Fat" clothes! LOL
Cottage Hope there are enough hours in the day for you to accomplish your tasks.
Ruth Hope your day goes well and you don't run yourself down with this cold and your busy schedule.
Cat Glad to hear you are feeling better! Hope that "thing" stays away for you!
Me Yet another busy day, sometimes I think if the phone would stop ringing for a day I might get caught up! I have the tv station coming in today to talk advertising, right in the middle of my day, ugh!
Night one at the festival and I didn't eat a thing! Nothing even tempted me except the cheesecake on a stick and I just walked right by and refused to look at it!
Ugh, my day has already started with 2 dumb a** calls, bring on the coffee!
Cottage thanks for the you're probably out conquering the world by now!
Ruth that happens to me too!! good lunch with the food!
Cat Good Luck with work Feel better!
Mare Aweome NSV!!! Don't ya hate globalization? it would be so nice if every part of the team was in the same building!
Pacer it's almost friday!! hope your day gets better!!
no time for me I'll bbl
Kier
Good morning! I AM OFF TODAY! YES!!!!! I slept until 8:30. I feel so much better, although I woke up because I was having a horrible dream. My parents' house was on fire and I chased one of the dogs out of the house, it ran into the street, and got hit by a car. What the ****? I'm trying to think what I ate last night to make me have a dream like that. WW spaghetti, LS tomato sauce with Italian seasoning, garlic, and mushrooms..... fake chicken parmesan. Nothing out of the ordinary. Weird.
Today, I'm going to grocery shop, do laundry, and maybe unpack a little more. I need to finish my book too.
Ruthie, sorry to hear you're still sickly. Hopefully you can catch a nap today.
Cottage, busy busy girl! Find some time to relax with your cawfee.
Cat, glad you're feeling better. Immodium IS a godsend, but I am always hesitant to take it because it stops me up for like 3 days. Dole had a recall on bad lettuce that had ecoli or something in it, at least around here. Hopefully you just had a case of the poops and nothing serious.
Mare, WOO HOO for the boob shrinkage! Isn't that awesome! As much as I complain about my boobages, they finally have started to shrink some too. I'm down to a 34D now from DD, at least in my newest bra. Way to go! Isn't it nice to have "new" bras to wear?
Pacer, cheesecake on a stick? Way to go with your will power! Holy crap! I don't think I could have done it! The only "on a stick" that I like at our fair is the fried cheese. It's like a REALLY yummy grilled cheese. Fried Snickers and such just doesn't sound appealing, but cheesecake on a stick sounds DELISH. Keep up the good work girlie!
As for me, I'm going to relax a bit before I get ready to do my grocery shopping. I only have maybe 50 pages left in my book so I'm ready to find out who the killer is! Hope you all have a glorious day!
Ruth: I hope the cold leaves you quickly. What a pain it must be to have to work through it. I hope you have some rest coming to you tonight!
Cottage: Wow! That's a lot of birthday partying this week. Shopping for presents with those girls must be a hoot! Hope it's a great day for you.
Cat: Glad to hear your tummy is doing better. I bet you're glad to get back to school!
Mare: Congrats on the NSV! I hope to be celebrating the "shrinking boobies" milestone with you soon! How great that you had some smaller bras there to wear. I'm kind of dreading the bra shopping when it's time.
Pacer: WTG avoiding all that festival fare! You must have a lot more willpower than I do! Sorry you had bad calls this morning, I'm sending you some coffee!
, Kier!
Lisa: I definitely envy your day off today, but since you have to work all weekend, I guess we're even. Enjoy your book. I've got a few that I need to finish. Have a great day off!
I'll post my "me" stuff later. Got to catch up on some work stuff! Have a great day!
Busy busy busy! I woke up late so now I'm struggling to choke down ALL my pills before running off to class! I'm now up to 6 supplements and 3 medications! But hopefully the vitamins will help me stay awake! Then it's class for 2 hours, study abroad fair, student worker form, and filling out another form at work. Fun!
Allie: That is a lot of forms to fill out! Hope they're not too tedious!
ME: Well, DH is at home until Monday and that's really nice. Lots of time to spend together. Dinner tonight is a Mexican Meat Loaf recipe I found in my Fix-It and Forget-It Lightly crock-pot cookbook. I hope it's yummy. We're busy at work fixing to print out tax statements. I'm relieved because ours are about $200.00 less than I budgeted for. I love not having an escrow account (BIG savings), but it stinks seeing the savings account take such a big hit. Oh well.
Also, I'm trying to figure out the finances to get back into school. It's going to be rough, but I think that the Avon money I make during the holiday season may cover it. I just really need to push my sales and find new customers. I'm not going to take out any more loans to pay for school, so I may be working extra hard to make ends meet. I'm hoping that I can finish in two years if I work really hard, but we'll see when I meet with my adviser.
Well, time to get back to work. Bossman is stressing about this stuff and I'm going to try to help him out. Have a great day!
I am off to jail this morning. MDA is picking up a few of us and jailing us for the day or until we raise enogh bail to get out. Hopefully, my employees are working on that or I get to spend the entire day at the worst restaurant in our town. I hope they raise a bunch of money because this is such a good cause.
KO: From yesterday, I am taking Lyrica and have been for about two months. I have been losing weight the entire time but my doc wanted me to do SBD to help lower my cholesterol more and avoiding sugar and white flour does help with the FMS.
hey chicks another quickie, one baby just got picked up and one has to get up from his sleep. then it is time for the bus stop and play ground. The sun is shinning and it is 27 degrees today. A nice day for playing in the sand. Dance class tonight. Hope you all have a great day.
