Default Marvelous Monday Chat

Good Morning! Wake up, all you sleepyheads! We have a brand new week ahead!

It's back into the regular routine for me, today. I enjoyed my lazy, indulgent week off, but I'm looking forward to my life getting back to normal, too.

First on my agenda this morning is getting my workout in, then a quick trip to Wegman's to return a bottle of conditioner that I mistakingly picked up, thinking it was shampoo. That's around the 4th time I've done that, I'm going to have to learn to read the label more carefully!

So, who's ready for a cuppa?

I'm on my second cup and could use a couple more.
Cottage, I did that yesterday..thought I was putting shampoo on my hair and it was conditioner!

School starts this morning (well, registration..no kids) I hate registration..have to sit on hard little cafeteria stools for hours and write and write and write. I don't write...I type! So the writing cramps my hand. Then I have to go to the grocery store, bank and pharmacy, then buzz back home and have dinner cooked by 2:00...then back to the computer to start my second job. It's making me tired just thinking about it.

Ya'll have a great Monday!

Me! Me! I've fed The Girls and am sipping as we chat. Thanks for the coffee, Cottage.

I am shocked to see my three pound gain from Saturday is still with me. (My ticker lies!) Grrrr! It has to be water weight so today's focus will be water and lots of veggies. I know salt is the culprit and did have a few indulgences over the weekend. Drinking water would help, dummy! (That's my alter ego, Ruthless, speaking. She's a nag!)

We so need rain around here! My cherry tomatoes are drying on the plant. I did some cutting back out front yesterday and was just appalled at the dryness. I know I'm going to lose some plants. The hoses have to go on today for sure.

Right now it's Fiber One, yogurt and blueberries before I go to the gym. How's your week starting off?

My kids come today at noon! And by that I mean my staff - 12 college age kids who DH and I affectionately refer to as the "kids" (as they really are an integral part of my life, and therefore ours, during the school year). I think I feel prepared - lots of cleaning, lots of food prep, lots of crafty activities - then here is the training/work part!

I have gotten my workout in, had an on plan breakfast, and we will see where the day goes. When I do not plan my own meals I do less well, but I try to stay forcused where I can conrtol it and not beat myself up when I can't. I feel if I write this it could help with the will power, as I know pizza and dessert ( ) are (literally) on the agenda for dinner! One small piece and then home to a large salad is the goal.

Hope everyone has a great day - see you later!

Morning Linda, Ruth, and Ally!

I'm waiting for the bank to open so I can call and increase our withdrawl limit. I'm hoping I can sweettalk them into having it activated today, or else Tom will not be able to take out enough to leave the rent money with his friend. He'll probably still be here in the States when the rent is due, so he wanted to take care of that. Coming back to your stuff in the street, or disappeared, would be bad.

The kids and I had fun down at Tom's dad's camp site yesterday! There's a big lake and several pools, and the kids had a blast playing in the sand. I don't know where they get it from, but they were laying down, covering themselves in sand while I sat on the blanket and grimaced. I *hate* getting dirty! I will build sand castles and splash in the water, but certainly not bury myself. I know, I'm an awful mother.

Good luck with all of your Monday business! Cat, bring a cushion from one of your kitchen chairs to sit on! Ruth, hope your plants (and you) get their water! Ally, good luck resisting the pizza and dessert.

Happy Monday,

The weekend sure goes by quickly, doesn't it. I am excited to see what Wednesday brings, it will be 2 weeks on phase 1. I don't know what to do, I might do phase 1, 1 more week, I am really thinking about it.

I worked alot this weekend downstairs, going thru boxes. I did the toss, keep and sell thing that I see on tv. It really does work. I am going to work downstairs 1 hour a night this week and I should be able to finish. What a load off my mind.

We have been trying different recipies that are on this site, everyone has been great so far. Hope everyone has a great day, stay cool!

Morning chicks!

Femme Hope your first day back goes well. Our new teachers start on Wednesday, and then the rest of us go back on Monday. We will have a week of meetings and inservices before the kids come on the 27th.

Cottage You enjoyed your week of relaxation! Hope getting back to the "real" world isn't too much of a shock to your system.

Kara Sounds like you are having a great trip! Is there a chance that you and the kids are going to stay in the states? (from the prayer thread...)

Ruth Good morning to you! I am not even getting on the scale today, I am going to be an eating angel today and weight tomorrow.

BK Have a great day!

Amasam Hope that all goes well with the return of your "kids". What is it that you and your DH do?

Me- Didn't manage to get my eating under control yesterday, but am planning to be back on track with a plan today. Back up to school for more work, I still have a lot to get ready.

Morning Kara, Ruth, Cat, Cottage and Ally.

It's a pretty pleasant day here in VA. The really hot weather is gone for a bit and there's been a bit of a breeze which is really nice. I am supposed to go the Screen on the Green in DC (casablanca is showing) tonight, but think I am going to bail as I have too much cleaning around the house. Blanca comes this weekend to clean and you know how that goes. I have to pick up all my beads and jewelry I am working on. The small seed beads end up getting embedded in the carpet.

DH bought a bike over the weekend and picks it up tonight. I am excited to get back to riding again.....haven't been on it in the 2 1/2 years we've been in the house. Waste, huh? It'll be nice to have someone to ride with again.

I had several indulgences this weekend and enjoy them all thoroughly. And even with them, I still managed to loose .5 lbs. DH is calling it the pizza diet.

Ruth-Know what you mean about the dryness. We are having the same problem and even with watering, I still have had to pull some periennials out. I'll pray for rain for both of us. Cottage-I love Wegmans. I used to go there at least once a week for lunch, but since SBD, I only grocery shop there. Kara-Good luck with the bank. Kill them with kindess usually works for me. Ally-Good luck with the will power. If you find a trick that works, let me know. I have NO will power whatsoever. Cat-Sounds like a very busy day. Don't envy you at all.

Everyone else...Enjoy your a Monday!

Morning ladies. Back home from the class reunion in Michigan. Large NSV this weekend as everywhere I turned was compliment after compliment on how good I look! Downside to that is for every compliment I got I gained about a 1/10 of a pound! LOL It's all good though, went knowing full well the diet was out the window for the day! Beer, bite size brownies and cheesecakes to die for, were my downfall, but hey it was a 20 year thing!
Back to it today! Ruth I am in the same boat as you, I need water and lots of it (right after the coffee that is!).

Hope everyone has a great day, and drink your water!

Good morning all! I can't believe it's Monday already!

Indigal, I missed you on the weekend chat...congrats on meeting your first 25 lb goal! What's next for you?

Cottage, I constantly buy conditioner instead of shampoo! I have enough conditioner stored up now to last the next few years!

Femme, I hate writing too. Maybe this is an excuse to book a manicure with a hand massage?

Ruth, good luck getting in that water today! I'm sure those three pounds will be gone in no time!

Amasam, here's wishing you lots of willpower today!

Kara, good luck with the bank! I'm glad you're going to be seeing Tom soon!

bkstitch, I really need to make my own toss/sell/keep piles! Good for you! I love those organization shows. I always joke that if I'd spend less time watching them and more time doing, maybe I'd eventually get organized!

LC, have a great day!

Kiko, good luck getting your final school stuff done!

Shequila, glad to hear you're going to get back to riding. My poor bike has been sitting neglected for at least two years now!

Pacergal, I'm so glad to hear that the reunion went well! Those compliments were hard-earned, and I'm sure you looked amazing!

Me, I changed my overall weight goal to 125 today. I have a chant in my head, "Five more pounds, five more pounds!"

I went to the Watermelon Festival yesterday. It's held in the middle of the street in our boutique shopping district called Carytown. Most of the stores have blowout sales at the same time, and I was able to snag a $180 skirt for $20! I have absolutely nothing to wear for fall and winter now, so I'm having to rebuild my wardrobe one piece at a time...I love the new clothes but I hate shelling out the $$$.

Have a great day!
