Default *** August Exercise Challenge ***

Post your goal and then update your post as you exercise. At the end of the month, I will announce that month's Exercise Queen and Princesses. If someone can announce the July Queen/princesses (usually on the second of the month), I would appreciate it.

My goal this month is to maintain the running I've been doing and add in some strength training. It will be a big obstacle because we will be spending the majority of the month on vacation, so this is how I will keep myself on track instead of slipping on my weight loss.

Specific goals:
At least five miles run twice a week
At least forty-five minutes on the elliptical twice a week (in New Jersey)
Pilates twice a week
Walk *somewhere* every day (in New Jersey)

Minutes so far - 1262 minutes

August 1 - Tae Bo Celebrity Fit DVD and 30 minutes running
2 - 2 ExerciseTV cardio segments and 4 miles walked
3 - 2 ExerciseTV cardio segments and 1 ExerciseTV abs segment
4 - 4 miles walked, 56 minutes running (6.11 miles), 10 minutes core strength on exercise ball, 90 minute yoga class
5 - 3 miles walked
6 - Does walking the airplane aisles with Avery and Kadyn a million times count?
7 - 30 minute stability ball DVD, 5 miles walked
8 - 30 minute aerobic show on FitTV
9 - 2 miles walked, 30 minute toning exercise show on FitTV
10 - 3 miles run, 3 miles walked
11 - 1 hour cadio/toning show on FitTV, 22 minute yoga show on FitTV, 2.6 miles walked

Okay, let's try this again! I was a July exercise challenge dropout. I'll set my goal lower this month. I just need to get started doing something regularly.
