kaplods Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: Wausau, WI Posts: 13,383 S/C/G: SW:394/310/180 Height: 5'6"	I think scientific concoction is a good word for them all. Splenda is made from sugar, but is chemically altered to the point, I would hesitate to call it a derivative of sugar.
