Morning chicks!

Nessa I am dying to try the oatmeal bars. I am still doing Phase 1 for another week or so to kick these cravings to the curb so I have to hold off.

Weezle Have a good day! I hope that physical therapy goes well for you.

Ruth No coffee? Here is a cyber cup for you-

Cottage Sounds like another busy day for you. DH is also looking forward to a mid-week day off.

Pacer Serious will power dust!! Doesn't it always feel so good when you are able to be so good?? I had a similar NSV on Sunday that felt so good!!

Femme Here is a big hug for you.

Kara 5 miles is awesome! I haven't attempted running in a very long time. I had great results with it when I did, though.

Me- Bible study this morning and then am not sure what is on the agenda for the remainder of the day. We are watching my neighbor today, so I am hoping the weather cooperates so we can go swimming. I HATE the afternoons feeling cooped up in the house. We shall see!

Good morning everyone! I woke up to a great email that my cousin's girlfriend is having a little girl in October. I'm a little concerned because while my cousin has worked as hard as possible to change the circumstances he was born into, he's repeating the same pattern (he just turned 20, isn't married, and doesn't really have a steady place to live). He's a great guy though so I'm hoping it will turn out well for him.

My ankle is still swollen so I'm about to head downstairs to watch some TV and ice and elevate it. It doesn't hurt any worse than yesterday and I can move it, so I'm hoping it will heal soon. I just have no beachy foods in the house- my roommate went out and got me some food for today but when I asked for something healthy, he got me a whole wheat gyro wrap with mashed potatoes rather than fries! :P He also got some spanakopita and stuff. I feel kind of bad, but it's either that or not eating. :\ The boyfriend is calling during his lunch break and will probably come over after work and pick up an ankle brace and some food.

Good morning, sunshines! I can't wait for a day off tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that our boss will let us go home early. Its our busy season though so its not a strong liklihood.

Scale's holding steady. My dh has taken yesterday and today off work so he's meeting me for lunch. He wants to get wings. I love wings but I'll have to find an alternative. I recall they have a good spinach salad. Oh to have the metabolism of a 6 foot tall man....

My back is okay this morning but I can tell it'll be bad by this afternoon. I got some biofreeze stuff to rub on it that makes it feel better but unfortunately, its only temporary. Trying to get ahold of my doctor for an appt is a pain. They shut down at lunch and that's the time I usually have free to call them. Grrr.

Have a great day all!

Hello girls! Now I actually have a second to post (I'm typing up a recap for work before my two new hire orientations today.)

My physical therapist is trying to kill me. Would one of you girls come to Springfield to cut my arm off for me? I think that would make my shoulder feel better.... although it would be hard to set a volleyball. Today she was rough on me. I had to start with the arm exercise bike thing (no resistance) for 3 minutes, then did TWO sets of my exercises, tried new exercises, and she pushed me farther than she has thus far. By my third exercise, my shoulder was already fatigued and my arm was all wobbley.

Now let me rant just slightly about DH's fancy car thing. It was in the shop to be fixed because he was working on it and accidentally cracked the engine block by giving the bolt just "one more" turn. Davis. So it was in the shop for almost two months. He got it back yesterday after we shelled out $3500 (on two different credit cards) and drove it home. He pulled onto our street after a 20 minute drive and the brakes failed.

So he opened it up to look at it, and one hose had snapped off the engine, one hose hadn't even been re-connected to the engine, there was no coolant in it, a motor mount bolt that holds the motor to the car was barely screwed on, etc. So I had to call them this morning and fortunately they're going to take care of it like I thought they would, but still. DH could have died if his brakes failed at 70 MPH on the highway!

So I'm trying not to have a stroke, but through all of it, I haven't wanted a cigarette!!! One week, 39 hours, and 5 minutes smoke-free.... (not that anyone's counting.)

And I just got a call from my new boss. There's an emergency conference call for DM's to be on that the Vice President is having, and each DM can choose one person from their district to be on the call. He chose me! Out of 15 stores and 3 Trainers, he chose ME! WOO HOO!

So anyhoo, I need to finish this recap and get ready for the call. Have a lovely day girls! Sorry for typing so much. Just had a lot to say today, I guess!

Hey ladies. Gotta go get some work done today, but wanted to drop by and say hi. I think DH and I are going to go to the minor-league baseball game tonight and see fireworks and then be incredibly lazy tomorrow! I just want to sleep. I've been having a much harder time sleeping in so if I can sleep past 7 that would be awesome. If not, hey, at least I get stuff done. But then I take naps and perpetuate the cycle.

Days 1 and 2 of phase 1 have been going well. Tummy was hurting this morning but since lunch it has been better.

Ruth, I totally relate to the rolling veins. When I went to the doctor a few weeks ago I had forgotten to drink water in the morning and came home with bruises on both arms. So frustrating! Stupid veins!

Quote:
Just as I was crossing into Harvard Yard on the way to CVS, I totally wiped out and sprained my ankle. I don't fall in subtle places- I fall in places where 15 Harvard kids come running over (and probably a couple hundred people could see)! At least I didn't swear up a storm like last time (when I broke my ankle in October).
In the last year, I sprained my hip, foot, and ankle, and threw my back out. My ankle was the crown jewel: I was at a New Year's Eve Party with a bunch of people I didn't know. We were playing Nintendo Wii and while doing a victory dance, my ankle went out from under me. It was a BAD sprain, I cried, and it swelled up to the size of Montana. We finally figured out that my hip was rotated an inch off on one side--have a friend who is a physical therapist. Since then I seem to be fall-free. But it was a mess of a year!! OH, and chol, if it makes you feel better...I sprained my hip passing out in the shower at the Y. Naked. At least you weren't naked.

Love, Jess
