Super emotional wanted to cheat but I didn't. I had a really good conversation with my best friend. Loosing weight is making me deal with my emotions. I have abandonment issues and trouble creating boundaries. I am going to pick myself up and work on the inside as well as the outside. But it does suck to find that out about yourself but a least I know. Later Ladies!
Missmess, I thought of you - there is a Veggie Challenged Section in the Food part of the forum. There's a new thread on there - "what is your favorite recipe to convert veggie haters?" or something like that and there's lots of good ideas on there. Have you looked? I was trying to get some ideas too - although I don't hate veggies, I find getting in 4.5 cups a day is a real challenge.
Nessa you are going to be so proud..you too Kara...I hate veggies...not fresh but a step in the right direction! I went to Trader Joes and bought the veggie Hodge Podge with tons of veggies...I put a little olive oil in a pan crisped them up and put vinegar on them!!!
Yay! I am proud.
and i LOVE that stuff. i throw some shrimp in and call it dinner.
Thursday I was trying to clean out the fridge for vaca. I ate:
B - Scrambled egg with lf cheese, green pepper & salsa rolled in ww tortilla, V8
S - mozarella cheese stick
L - salad of lettuce, chicken, feta, black olives with vinaigrette, 2 plums
S - apple and 1 T sf peanut butter
D - lean hamburger patty and quinoa with sf spaghetti sauce and parmesan on top, lettuce and cucumber salad with vinaigrette
Dessert/bedtime snack - wierd concoction of neufchatel cream cheese and sf cherry jello with blueberries.
I didn't eat dinner last night well I had an apple but I just thought it was too late. I just ate right now because I just got home and I don't want to get in the habit of skipping meals. But good news I have lost 12 lbs total so far
I had a bizarre eating day today and didn't really stick to my menu too much. I did have breakfast, and then wasn't really hungry again until 12:30 so I had my cottage cheese and cantalope then. Tom got home early and I wanted to hit the gym, so I grabbed a cheese stick and headed out the door. I had some almonds on my way home and then had my scheduled dinner, minus the salad but plus a cherry tomato salad. It was a weird day.
But, for tomorrow, here's what I'm planning:
Breakfast - 2 veggie "sausage links" before we leave the house at the buttcrack of dawn and then I'll take Nessa's oatmeal bars with me for when I get hungry en route to the DMZ
Snack - Mixed nuts and an apple
Lunch - Avacado and lettuce stuffed whole wheat pita pocket with red pepper strips
Snack - Roasted chick peas
Dinner - Veggie quiche and salad (I made it up today so I didn't have to worry about dinner when we get home and mmmmmm it smelled so yummy!)
