Stacie, I'm pretty sure you can have the One Carb ketchup, check the sugar grams on it. It's ok if it's 2 grams or less.

Breakfast: 1 Nessa Bar (1/2 serving)

Snack: 1/2 cup NF cottage cheese w/blueberries and strawberries

Lunch: Taco Bake over shredded cabbage

Snack: 2 Tbsps. Peanut Butter
small wedge watermelon (!!!)

Supper: Tex-Mex boneless pork chop
Cauliflower salad

Dessert: NSA Fudgesicle

S: Apple w/ Peanut Butter

L: Taco Wrap (whole wheat of course)

S: Uncured Bacon and Almonds (I know its weird but I love it)

D: None yet but Taco salad sounds nice

Super emotional wanted to cheat but I didn't. I had a really good conversation with my best friend. Loosing weight is making me deal with my emotions. I have abandonment issues and trouble creating boundaries. I am going to pick myself up and work on the inside as well as the outside. But it does suck to find that out about yourself but a least I know. Later Ladies!

Default Veggies for MissMess

Missmess, I thought of you - there is a Veggie Challenged Section in the Food part of the forum. There's a new thread on there - "what is your favorite recipe to convert veggie haters?" or something like that and there's lots of good ideas on there. Have you looked? I was trying to get some ideas too - although I don't hate veggies, I find getting in 4.5 cups a day is a real challenge.

Kara's fantastic Friday menu:

Breakfast - Light spinach frittata with salsa (South Beach recipe)

Snack - cantalope with cottage cheese

Lunch - Greek salad with leftover chick pea burger ("naked")

Snack - peach-mango yogurt that I made and Triscuits

Dinner - salad with lentils and an Amy's vegetable pot pie

Dessert - ricotta creme (although I think I may be out of ricotta, in which case I'll just have another chocolate pudding cup - no complaints there!)

Today I had the yummiest new dinner! I'll post the recipe in the recipes thread. It was veggie-packed!

Kara

Nik, that's awesome!

I had a bizarre eating day today and didn't really stick to my menu too much. I did have breakfast, and then wasn't really hungry again until 12:30 so I had my cottage cheese and cantalope then. Tom got home early and I wanted to hit the gym, so I grabbed a cheese stick and headed out the door. I had some almonds on my way home and then had my scheduled dinner, minus the salad but plus a cherry tomato salad. It was a weird day.

But, for tomorrow, here's what I'm planning:

Breakfast - 2 veggie "sausage links" before we leave the house at the buttcrack of dawn and then I'll take Nessa's oatmeal bars with me for when I get hungry en route to the DMZ

Snack - Mixed nuts and an apple

Lunch - Avacado and lettuce stuffed whole wheat pita pocket with red pepper strips

Snack - Roasted chick peas

Dinner - Veggie quiche and salad (I made it up today so I didn't have to worry about dinner when we get home and mmmmmm it smelled so yummy!)

Dessert - Blackberry cobbler (Also quite yummy smelling!)
