  • Good Sunday morning and I hope it will be a Serene Sunday for everyone.

I didn't get to town yesterday. Like a fool, I went out in the mid-day sun to garden. Stupid! I did get the peppers in and stuff watered but ended up with a throbbing headache - heat stroke, maybe? Duh! I came indoors and turned on the AC and had a nap. We had a tremendous T-storm late afternoon which put a stop to more gardening. I had an early supper and then watched "The Devil Wears Prada". So much for Saturday.

Today starts off with Church (Hershey's turn) and then I might get my herbs planted. I am not going to be stupid about it though! There's lots of other stuff to be done indoors as Donna comes tomorrow to tackle the cleaning.

    How does your Sunday look?
  • Ruth, Please be careful in that hot sun!!! And take a bottle of ice water out there with you, too.

We're getting ready to take Carley out for pancakes, so I'll check back in later on.

I love it - Serene Sunday!
  • Nothing exiting happening here. My husband works on Sundays, so we can't ever plan anything fun on Sundays.
I got up around 5 to work so I can just goof off the rest of the day if I don't get anymore emails from clients wanting stuff done. I just got in from spraying "Mosquito Barrier" all over the yard. With 4 days of heavy rain, I don't want those nasty things laying eggs all over the place. I sprayed about 10 days ago, but rather be safe than sorry! I want to get out a little later and cut the grass in the back yard when the dew dries.

My oldest son is coming over for Sunday dinner around 5 when my husband gets off of work, so I am going to try to "convert" my "Sunday Roast" recipe to make it SB friendly...hope it works and tastes pretty much the same or I could have a revolt on my hands. My youngest son has been going through "Sunday Roast withdrawals"!
  • Wow! Everyone has such a busy weekend. My husband is at training right now, so it's just me and the boys. Friday I took the kids to the zoo, yesterday was an errand day, and today I'm hoping for church and relaxation! (But my boys are a very energetic 2 and 5 year olds!) LOL
  • Kiko - Brian goes to day care in the summer because he loves the field trips and the opportunity to play with other kids. It's rough being an only child sometimes. I do cringe at the cost ($135 a week) since DH is home all day but it is best for Brian. Otherwise he might spend too much time in front of the TV. Roughriders is a lot of fun! Our pack is going June 29th. The boys love going together to watch the game.

Me - Walking den leader training went well yesterday. I have now trained 198 leaders. Junior staff training didn't go quite as well. We only had 4 boys show up. Three are under 14 so will have to work in the their parent or leader is working and the other is only going to be there Monday. I'm hoping more show up tomorrow.
