It is weird to go against everything you have been told while "dieting". But Sunny is right, I wouldn't worry about counting right now, they make it very clear in the book that you don't need to count anything! I eat more for breakfast now than I used to also, I used to have a bowl of cereal and that was it. Now I have a glass of milk, two eggs with a 1/4 cup of diced ham, 1/4 cup LF cheese, and a mix of veggies...the rest of the day eating veggies, salads, and low-fat meats and cheeses....do don't worry about it! Right now is about detox and getting rid of cravings. You will do great!
I started tracking my exercise on fitday as well but don't see an entry for the elliptical trainer. I've been cataloging it as running based on time/speed/calories burned. Any other suggestions?
Southbeach may be unlike any diet you've ever done before and you may be eating foods on this diet that have never been allowed on other diets. I don't understand the physiology side of it all, but, it does work...trust us. Regarding feeling kinda rough...I was a real sugaraholic...couldnt get enough of the stuff...5-6 cups of coffee with 5-6 tsp of sugar...per cup! A whole bag of Hershey kisses in one day...etc. My first week on Southbeach, I felt like I had the flu! Nauseous, dizzy, fatigued. Once I made it past the first week, I felt great. Hang in there! You can do this!
Thanks... it is odd.... UNFORTUNATELY, because this whole thing is so wierd I just accidently cheated.. I didn't mean to. I ordered a salad, no dressing so I could use my own olive oil and vinegar... it had feta, almonds, chicken...and raspberries...not alot but I ate them, oops, then I realized...I've been so good too!
I just hope I don't keep feeling like this, I feel like my sugar is dropping! I just might get a sugar buzz from the raspberries!!!
I actually work at Mountain State University, a college in Beckley, WV that is 3 hours from Morgantown. I used to live in Pittsburgh though, from 1995-2004.
I can't think of which house that is... I have a big bell tower on the top of my house, used to be red, now is blue. We totally remodeled a few years ago, big wrap around porch. Not on the main road.
