How much did everyone lose on Wave 1

  • I am just looking for a general response on how you felt when you were on Wave 1. Is it truly difficult to keep up with? I have bought the book and am hoping that this diet will work for me...but in curiosity...If anyone would like to answer my questions and (if they dont mind) confessing how much weight they have lost in Wave 1 plz reply. I saw one woman has lost about 44 pounds in 3 months That's INSPIRATIONAL!
  • Welcome to the forum. Hope you'll stick around and post often.

The amount of weight lost during Wave 1 has a lot of variables, so what someone else lost may not be what you can expect. Some factors are: current weight.. heavier people will generally lose more during Wave 1, if you have been "dieting", your age, activity level, if you are on any medications.. and on and on.

This plan is about more than just weight loss.. it is about learning to eat healthier foods in normal proportions. You may only lose 1 pound during Wave 1, or you may lose 10. The important thing is becoming healthier... the loss WILL follow if you stick with it. And exercise is not optional
  • A more accurate question would be what percentage of your weight did you lose in Wave 1. If someone weighs 300 pounds and lost 10, percentage wise that is like a 150 pound person losing 5. More realistic.
  • Hello,
I am new to 3fc and also to the Sonoma Diet. I have been on Wave 1 for 5 days now and I feel that I have already lost weight. I will weigh on day 10. I am excited about the prospects and feel that this will be my new way of eating for now on. Everything sounds so HEALTHY! In all reality, Im sure I will have many days that I will want something absolutely forbidden and knowing me, I will have it! But the key thing will be in moderation. I do have one question.....Does anyone know if you can stay on Wave I for longer than 10 days? More like 3 weeks! Good luck to all......Sabrina
  • Sabrina, welcome to the forum. Glad you are enjoying Sonoma. The reason for Wave one is to help you will sugar cravings, so if those are doing okay then you don't need to. I personally think eliminating any food type for any long period of time isn't a wise choice as they all provide different nutrients that we need. A lot of what people lose on Wave 1 is water weight so even if you stay on Wave 1, there is no guarantee you'll keep up that loss rate.

Keep in mind that Sonoma is about becoming healthy first and foremost... weight loss is a nice bonus so concentrate on your health and making the best choices for your health and your loss will come.
