Default Craving.....

A recent thread in the food section of 3FC has gotten me thinking all day about homemade pizza. I almost can't wait for this weekend to make it and enjoy with a glass of wine. Mushrooms, onions, cheese, tomato, olives, and peppers... They are crying to be sprinkled with olive oil and become my dinner...

Thinking about it is pleasure enough.. (But I'll still make it this weekend! )

ok.. Now that it's the weekend I don't have that pizza craving anymore.. I don't know what the heck I want.

Grilled salmon and a salad maybe?
It's one of those I didn't plan anything for and still wouldn't know what I wanted even if I had given it some thought day.

How can a pizza craving go away?

I was amazed too! hehe

I think it was more a matter of "if I am going to eat it I have to make it first". Since I wasn't feeling well last weekend I guess I talked myself out of it without knowing.

Fast food pizza is horrible compared to the clean taste of homemade. If I had a craving for the fast food version, I'm sure I would have indulged. No effort to order a pizza.

Ha ha...I'm eating take out pizza as I read this!!

Not as good as homemade though...thats for sure. I'm going to try making some dough and freezing it so its easier to make quickly...I'll let you know how it goes.

I never thought of freezing pizza dough. You have to let me know how it works out.

Honey wanted pizza last night so I made 2 large ones. He loves to put anchovies and pepperoni all over his. I HATE greasy salty meat of any kind on MY pizza. I gave him the evil eye when he topped one whole pizza with this stuff and then attempted to top half of the other one.

The evil eye wasn't enough. I had to take off the pepperoni and toss it all on the first pizza. I don't often stand up for myself with these little things. About time I did!

I enjoyed a pizza topped with homemade sauce, garlic, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, yellow peppers, onions, and olive oil. Maybe I had one slice too many but it was so yummmmmmmy.

What I sometimes do is go to a pizza place and get them to sell me the dough only...its faster then making it, and it still is better than what they top it with....hehehehe...

This is a good idea too.. Only I probably wouldn't since it is really no trouble to make it in my machine this way I can control the types and freshness of the ingredients. But in a pinch it sounds like a great idea.

The past couple of days I've been craving olives. I love the unpitted ones. 'Specially the medley I get from Costco. Nothing more frustrating than having a craving and not having the item in the house. So now I've bought some olives. And I am happy.. and I am eating olives. Want some?
