Default Olive oil brings more than flavor to your diet - Article

It’s no surprise that the Mediterranean diet is linked to good health. Small reliance on meat and scant use of butter limit the saturated fat that raises blood cholesterol and possibly promotes development of some cancers.

The Mediterranean diet includes a large proportion of fish, which is rich in omega-3 fats that reduce inflammation, which seems to raise both heart and cancer risks. An abundance of fruits, vegetables and beans provides the many different phytochemicals that protect blood vessels and guard cells against cancer-causing substances. Now, studies show that olive oil may bolster each one of these benefits.

Smile fish

Hi, I just just started the Sonoma diet three days ago. I'm not crazy about fish but I think it has to do with not knowing how to cook it right. I also don't like really strong tasting fish. Could you tell me some good fish to try and how to fix it? I really would like to add it to my diet.

Tilapia is a wonderful fish. Dover Sole is also very good. Both mild.

If you look at the top of the forum here, you'll see a recipe section. Look through there for some recipes. You can easily substitute sole or tilapia for any of the salmon recipes that are listed as well.

Enjoy.

Default fish

Thanks, I'm going to start eating more fish. I do like Long John Silvers, but I don't think that is to healthy. HA! I'll keep trying until I find some I like.
