Default New to 3 fat chicks

Hi gals! I'm new to this message board and am very interested in the Sonoma Diet. I have PCOS, I'm 23, I need to lose about 90 pounds, and I read about this diet at soulcysters. Seeing how it appears to be a lower-GI more healthy-carb plan I figure it should work for women with this condition. And I'm all about the heart benefits as well! Hopefully I'll be buying the book soon and stocking my pantry with more wholesome foods. My biggest thing is that I need loads of support and encouragement, and that's where you all come in! I hope to get to know you all very soon. Have any of you had success so far with the Sonoma diet?

Jen

I just started the diet on Thursday and I've already lost 8.6 lbs. just by drinking lots of water, cutting out all that sugar and extra FAT! I was big on candy and McDonalds before starting this diet so my blood sugar took a nose dive I'm sure!

This is a really easy diet to follow once you get through the sugar cravings...those were the hardest for me because I used to eat so much crap. Tonight, I made 5 dozen cookies (including Snickerdoodles, my fave! :P) and didn't lick the spoon or have any cookies at all! Before I would've eaten half of them.

I just joined this community too and already I love it If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!

You didn't lick the spoon? Give the lady a gold star!! Wow . I can't do that ever.

Jen, welcom to the forum. Check out some of the recipes in the recipe forum at the top of the page and ask questions if something is confusing. This plan is new so a lot of it we are all figuring out.

Welcome Jen! I am new also, I just started the diet about a week ago, I'm sticking with Wave 1 till Saturday just to reap the benefits of Wave 1 before moving on to a few more calories. I've lost 4 pounds already, which I am very happy with, because I feel like its actual weight loss, not just water loss. I'm consistantly losing about a 1/2 pound a day, but I do have a lot of weight to lose. Good Luck!
