Default sonoma diet

my husband and myself are on the sonoma diet for about 3 days. we are both really tired and have had a headache or 2. is any one out there familiar with the sonoma diet and if this is a natural reaction in wave 1. it did not really say anything about this in the book.
thank you

There is a whole forum to Sonoma that you can check out -- but I've been reading over there and didn't read anything about headaches or lethargy a lot -- I know that wave 1 is supposed to break you of your sugar habits and refined grains...
I had an easy time with it (but I was already eating really low sugar and no refined grains, anyway) but you should post in that forum and people will jump right in.
I hope that you feel better!

(Sometimes I get headaches when I'm dehydrated -- are you dirnking enough?)

Thumbs up

were you eating a lot of sugar before? I was a huge sugar eater and got headaches for the first week on wave 1. You may be tired because your body is adjusting, but Im not sure.
did you give up soda? I think some of my headaches were from withdrawals from that as well. I drank dr. pepper a lot.

My partner and I had headaches the first few days, but it does go away. It's usually because of sugar or caffeine withdrawals (in our case, it was both!) We didn't have a problem with tiredness, though. Are you eating enough?

Default sonoma diet

we really didn't drink a lot of soda, my husband would have one with lunch. we ate a lot of potatoes though, so i suppose that could be the problem. i quit drinking soda when i started my new job almost 2 years ago. i already know i don't get enough water. i am trying though to drink more. my husband i know is not getting enough, he hates water. but has succumed to it to lose the weight. i don't eat as much sugar as i used too, but i am really haveing a hard time giveing it up.

where is this forum for the sonoma diet? i am really new to all this.
thank you

I gave up cola's a while ago (only drink water) and I only ate WW products, and I hardly ever had sugars - though I would have 2 splenda cookies at night sometimes. However, on day 2 of Sonoma I still had a raging withdrawal headache. I do love fruit and eat a lot of it normally, but I wanted to start this diet off right so I gave it up for the 10 days. I think drinking a lot of water should help

Oh, I guess that you **did** post in the Sonoma forum.

*blush*

When I wrote that reply I must have thought I was somewhere else. Silly me.

thanks for all your input, MY headache turns out to be a sinus thing. we have these horrible trees here at work that bloom every feb no matter what, my husband has lost a total of 7 pounds on the sonoma diet. he needed the portion control. his mom was always pushing food, which lead him to the weight he is. bad habits are really hard to break. i think the best thing about this diet is the "turn off the tv" another bad habit, saturday we had not actually started the diet but i still did the no tv and the portions(i did not have all the food) and we were listening to rod stewarts lastest cd, with the slow songs and he grabbed me and we danced... haven't done that in a looonnnngggg time. it was really cool!!!
