Default New to Sonoma

Hi everyone - I'm new here and new to Sonoma - so far so good! I've struggled with my weight the past 5 years or so (what's with turning 40?!!) and had good success with Atkins, but something in the back of my head always felt that it was way too much fat to be consuming. I've also had some success with the GI Diet and liked the whole grains.

I feel like Sonoma is a good combination of the two - low carb, but with grains as well. It's a lot of cooking, but I love cooking, so it's enjoyable for me. It's all about having a plan!

5 pounds in 5 days for me - so I'm thrilled with the results. I felt a little rough from days 2-4 (aching muscles, headache) but I feel great now!

, Marylou! Great job on your loss!

I think Sonoma seems way more sustainable than Atkins. I've unofficially followed the Med diet for years (obviously not consistently, or I'd be losing), but recently I just ordered the Sonoma diet book.

Welcome girl!

This new way to eat works. Slower progress but easier to keep it that way.

My mom went on sonoma last year, today she is 45 pounds lighter and she is keeping it without any difficulties.

5 pounds is awesome! Congrats!it will keep going trust!

the food is great too, i have lots of recipe I can share too ^^

another pound down today - that's 6 pounds in 6 days! I think the key for me is the portion sizes and finally realizing that a regular size portion does actually satisfy me! The recipes are sooo tasty too - my husband can't believe it's a diet. Just got back from buying a big load of fresh veggies from the farmer up the road - this way of eating won't be nearly as tasty in the winter!

Talking New to Sonoma TODAY!!

Hi Everyone. Hubby and I are one day one of Wave one. I have been a Weight Watchers "groupie" for many years, but I gained back some weight due to bad choices and recently being downsized from my job...(wish losing weight would be as easy as losing a job LOL!!)
I wanted to say GREAT JOB Mary Lou on your weightloss...WAY TO GO.
I am hoping to find some menu ideas for us to try. I have the diet book but not the recipe book. I look forward to supporting each other along this journey.
Blessings~Linda
