Default Gold Plan right for me?

Hi everyone,

I've been a member here at fatchicks for a while. I had a friend who gave me the book for the Gold Plan - she said it was for people under 185. I'm 171 and since starting the plan last Tuesday I have lost 4 lbs. That seems like a lot in less than a week! What I really like about this plan is that it makes me get my fruits and veggies in, which is something I'm usually not good at. Anyway, I also work out about 3-4 days per week about an hour each time. I've searched around this forum a little bit and notice that the plans have different req's depending on how much one exercises. I'm just curious if I should be eating more. I have looked into actually joining LAWL but it's way too much money for me - I'm a starving college student.

I believe that if you exercise more than five hours a week consistently, you would be moved to blue. One of the other girls can chime in with what the difference in that plan is, but I think it's one more starch and maybe a veggie??? Girls - any extra protein?

Blue plan is 1/2 protien and 1 starch more than gold.

However, in my COD blue is used for crazy schedules, long hours, etc. So I'm not sure if that would be enough food with more exercise. Sorry.

I work out 3-4 days and am on purple now - they told me once I was at 180 I would drop to gold so unless you increase your workouts to over 5 hours - gold is probably the right plan however - you should be doing lites or an equivalent like luna or pria bars if you aren't doing the bars then you should do purple (I think) which will increase your protein sizes by 2 oz on most proteins and 1 veggie.

btw - 4 lbs loss the first week on a new eating plan is pretty normal as you would have lost a lot of water weight.

Hi everyone! I am new to the forum but I have also joined LAWL back in February of this year and am in a rut. I am sick of paying out all the money. I have lost a total of about 30 lbs. now and am stuck. I noticed in your reponse earlier that instead of using the bars that they provide you can use Luna or pria bars, what a helpful hint since I really can't afford to fork over the $100 at a time for the bulk of LA Lites. I was supposed to be at my goal weight by September 8th but never reached it. I still have another 40 lbs. to go. Any help that you could give me or offer me would be appreciated. I, too, have been on the gold program since I started.

Thanks,
Jen

Jen - I would suggest visiting our Daily Reason thread, as well as our Losers and Friends. Just jump in ask any questions, or just vent. There is always someone there to listen/help.

Welcome!
