S/C/G: SW:226/16st - about 50lbs lost

Height: 5'8"

Default Weider "Muscle Builder"

Anyone use this as a protein powder?

Is it ok? Are there too many carbs? From what I can find it's about 18g per 100g, but I think my friend (who is at the shop right now) said 15g carbs and 73g prot per 100g.

I told him to buy it, since I am running out and it was relatively cheap!!!

What's the general feeling?

Frus - I've never used it so I looked up the nutritional info on the web. Assuming that what I found is the same as you're looking at, here's what I discovered:

Serving Size: 1/2 Cup (45g)
Servings Per Container: 12

Amount Per Serving:

Calories 150
Calories from Fat 15
Total Fat 1.5 g
Total Carbohydrate 21g
Dietary Fiber 2 g
Sugars 11g
Protein 17g

What would concern me are the 11g of sugar. That's 44 calories - about 30% - coming just from sugar. The first ingredient listed is the protein blend and then the second and third ingredients are added sugars.

If you're OK with that, then it's a decent amount of protein.

Yes I was surprised it had added sugar - I guess I should just use it post workout.

Per 100g
374 kcals
Prot 73g
Carb 15g
of which sugars 13g
Fat 2.4g

It's got a serving as including 300ml of semi-skimmed milk! I don't think I'll be doing that!

I hope it tastes better than powdered chicken feet with some sugar in!

Yummy - powdered chicken feet!

It looks like we're looking at two different labels, so it must be formulated differently in the UK. Yours has a lot less carbs and sugar than the one I found!

Phew! Yes it does doesn't it?! Still, it's not great, but it'll do in a pinch!
