Default Newbie here

I just wanted to say hello. I just started some diet pills and I am watching what I eat and also exercising. I started Monday. I am going to do it this time. I am sure I will bug the heck out of all of you about tips and stuff. Thanks for being so open and nice around here. I have been lurking for a long time now but just thought I would jump in.

I am sure I will love it here. I have a problem though. Like I said, I am on diet pills and I have been exercising. My problem is finding a diet program that I can kinda meet halfway on. I have been watching my calories this week and it has been hard. I dont' want to give up all the foods I love because I know I won't stick with it. I have been eating grilled chicken all week and I have to tell you it is hard because I am not a chicken lover. I love my steak, baked potato loaded. You know what I mean. Any help with a plan that might fit that so I don't have to give up the things I love completely would be great. I know you all have been here a while and I know you have seen them all. Thanks so much for the welcomes and help.

I like to count calories, i was on WW a few years ago and that allows you to eat any food you want. It's all about portion control. I love fitday.com and it has all the foods and calories etc. I know people see this as a pain in the booty, but at the same time putting in in the journal makes you accountable and you dont just eat food and forget about it. I personally want to start a new way of life, so i focus on healthy foods, portions and exercise.

Hello and welcome...

I've also had a hard time finding a "plan" that I want to stick with. I decided to look into Fit Day and I really love it. A couple of years ago (okay, like 5) I lost 40 lbs and I did it by cutting calories and working my tail off at the gym, so I know that's what works....so I'm going to try that again. I need to be able to have my Hershey kisses, so all that South Beach stuff didn't work for me. Putting in all your info to Fit Day takes some time, but it's an investment of time I think.

This site has GREAT diet reviews, you should check them out...they really helped me learn about diets.

Good luck!!

Welcome.
Please Please be careful with diet pills. The best advice/tips I could give you is to drink lots and lots of water and eat as clean as possible. What I mean by "clean" is fresh/whole foods (not processed). Good luck on your journey-YOU CAN DO IT.

The diet pills worry me too. PLEASE try without and if you choose not too research carefully what you are taking. Even the "natural" diet aids have risks and you dont want health problems FROM losing wt but to avoid health problems BY losing wt.

Spend 10 min a day making yummy health snacks and put them in front of everything else in the fridge! and water, water, water and when those cravings come. Make yourself DRINK and then wait 10 min and see how you feel.
