Hello everyone!

I just joined today. I am 47 years old and I live in upstate New York. I continually have fought the battle of the bulge for the last 22 years. Unfortunately I keep losing, the battle that is. I am a teacher. I have a husband and three children, two in college and one in high school. They keep me pretty active. I also am sole caretaker of my elderly mother. It is difficult trying to maintain two households.

I am upset that I let myself go the way I have. I am trying to decide between Weight Watchers or LA Weight Loss. I am leaning towards Weight Watchers. I really don't have the money to join LA Weight Loss. My friend has been very successful on LAWL and has inspired me to do something about my weight. I am trying to lose about 20+ pounds before vacation. I intend adding exercise and water to my daily lifestyle. I would like to buddy up with someone and could use all of the support I can get. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I can relate to your problem! I've been fighting this battle for a long time too. I keep loosing, only to regain! I'm really fed up with this yo-yo! I intend to keep the weight off this time. No easy task! I'm looking for a buddy too. I have lost the weight, need some encouragement to keep it off.

I'm a nurse, so I know nutrition, how to diet. I know I have to exercise for health. I just don't do it! Why do we treat our bodies this way?

What ever diet you choose, make sure it's one you can stick to for a long time! Almost any diet works. I choose to change my eating habits this time. No diet. Just good healthy eating, watching portions. A life style change. I also make sure I get my exercise in. I walk and lift weights. Something I can continue.

Hi everyone!
I am 42, and have also fought the battle for 20+ years. I am doing WW, of all the diets that I have tried, it is the one that gives me the flexibility and control that I need. I can eat anything as long as it fits into my daily points. I do need buddies to help me on my way- it is so uplifting to share with others their successes and mine. And when we have a bad day or week, it helps to have someone encouraging and motivating to keep on. If you would like to start email support, private message me and we can swap email addresses.
Have a wonderful day!
