hi people..
i just got home from my second year living at college to find that the freshman 15 is definently not a myth

so i've resolved to do the whole diet& exercise thing this summer. my goal is to lose 18 pounds by the time i move into my new apartment next year, so i have 12 weeks.
and so sets in the second-guessing, and the researching online, and the joining of the forum. is 1.5lb/week a realistic goal? i'm hoping to do this with diet and walking. i grew up (and am back home in) a pretty healthy, strict ovo-lacto vegetarian household, so i'm wondering if people have advice for diet changes i should make besides portion control and all the stuff i should've been doing anyway. (my parents are also busy dieting& walking, mom to lose weight and dad to ward off type2 diabeties.)
so yeah.. looking for any advice, and here's hoping i can make this work!
